Alright people after much searching, we came up with a great bar to show St Pauli games..We'll be watching at the East River Bar in Williamsburg. Our first game is this sunday March 1 at 6:30pm
    TSV Munchen 1860 vs SANKT PAULI!Sunday, March 1, 2009
    6:30pm - 10:00pm
    East River Bar
    97 S 6th St
    Brooklyn, NY

Directions...The East River bar is directly underneath the Williamsburg Bridge - easily accessed by car or from the L or the J trains.

For the L train, get off at the Bedford Ave stop, the 1st stop in Brooklyn on the L line. Walk down Bedford Avenue (south) towards the Williamsburg Bridge, take a right as soon as you pass underneath the bridge (on S 6th Street), half way down the block you will see the East River Bar on the right hand side.

For The J train, get off at Marcy avenue stop, walk west on Broadway until you hit Bedford Ave. Veer right on S 6th Street and half way down the block you will see the East River Bar on the right hand side.

Driving- go over Williamsburg Bridge, take first right to West Broadway Exit cutting all the way to the right. Two lights down, when you reach Bedford Ave., follow the right fork onto S 6th Street. The East River Bar is half way down on the right hand side.

Good night last night boys - well outside of the result.

So we all know - we probably had about 15 - 20 people at this pub watching our first St Pauli game as a group. Even someone from Hamburg showed up - said he heard from the Supporters Group about our NYC group- so nice job spreading the word.

Great Job by Brandon organizing it all and showing he is quick on a DVD Remote!

And really - 4 hours of drinking on a Sunday night - we all have problems!

Williamsburg is not 'South Brooklyn', and I used to be confused when I heard South Brooklyn from the old timers as a kid. I'm originally from Gravesend in the geographic southern part of Brooklyn.

Guess its one of those terms that still sticks.

right...the confusion lies in that that part of Williamsburg is known as
"Southside" or "Los Sures" back in the day....
Some people still use that term and everything above the bridge is
    Williamsburg proper...

Los Sures - never heard that - iterestining - Now its Williamburg proper ive heard people say that - makes me laugh - having spent a lot of time in that area growing up i called it the southside and the northside -hehe amazing how areas change. I used to play baseball for Mt Carmel - where they have that feast every july
