My crappy French geography tells me that Gueugnon is in the east central region, whereas Angers in in the west (about 120 km nr Nantes)

    I would say 600km ish....

But then again I could be wrong.

    EDIT:

This may help you to guage.

    http://www.multimap.com/map/browse....type=&zm=0&scale=4000000&right.x=7&right.y=98

Angers is on the extreme west of the map. Squint and see Gueugnon (north east of Bourbonnais font)

    :)

Fantastic. Looks like a 5 hour drive or about a 3 hours if I can get a high speed train.

38 points. How many will guarantee life in the 2nd division again?

Hi panicfc! Well generally in France 42 pts guarentee life in 1st and 2nd division... FCG will probably have no problems to stay in D2 for the 36 th year(excepted the season in D1) in a row and that's good news cause the fight to avoid relegation is really fierce this year and good teams such as Le Havre, Lorient or even Niort could be relegated !

    Thanks Forgeron.

Sounds like the loanee we got is finding the back of the net, but the team doesn't score many do they.

Not many but more than last year, Shiva N'Zigou is a really good player, unfortunately our defenders aren't as good as they used to be, especially Captain Boucansaud who has already penned a deal for Nice next season and who doesn't seem to be concerned any longer by FCG :(

Horrible match, Sedan had 3 goal shots and scored... 3; N'Zigou should have scored at least a goal. I think we probably said "Adieu" to our cray dream of leaving our 'dear' L2 lol

    Done.

Le président du FC Gueugnon Jean-Philippe Demael a annoncé samedi le nom des deux dernières recrues en date du club. Il s’agit de Jérémiath White et Mamady Kaba.
