There won't be anything live, since it's just one team they're just sending a list to MLS and they'll publish it.

What is Generation Adidas? Is it purely by age, or what?

I hope they don't take Holden. I hate to lose Serioux, but I do like Holden, being young and from Houston. And popular with the women, that can't hurt. :D

The Dom said at the Mezz (listened on the radio) that we would lose only one player.,so I think the plan was to let Adrian go to Toronto.
I hate to see him leave.but I think that's what Serioux wants.:(

I'm not sure, I know that the player has to leave collage early but I don't know how long that status lasts.

Here's a thread on bigsoccer with some info about how players become Generation Adidas:

Judging by the list of available players it looks like only Ianni has Gen-Addidas status . . . maybe I miscounted but it looked like we had 12 protected players, that included Ianni.

I imagine so he could protect Stuart and Chris...if he left Adrian open, he knew they'd jump on it and leave those two alone

We could have done a deal like Dallas, Serioux for an allocation and pass on our other players. He still goes to Toronto and we at least get something back.

I hope they at least tried to work that deal out and didn't do it because Toronto wouldn't.

Yeah, but I still think we had the leverage on them. Experienced, plus Canadian. If it's true (as someone posted in this thread) that Mo hates Serioux, they're just going to use him to trade for a better player. Dunno.

I wish him luck and hopefully he has a great career.

I start to fear that the gutting has begun...and that's why I don't think we should have let him go gratis.

Sure, I don't have an issue with a player wanting to go, but hey, what do we get in return?

I will truly start to worry if DeRo does indeed go to Europe...then our Mid-Line will be our weakest spot instead of our strongest. Of course, AEG giving up our Beckam slot would just put the final nail in it

That's the only thing that makes sense. I mean, leaving him unprotected was basically like FedExing him to Toronto. Same day. Today. Sign, sealed, and delivered. Merry Christmas and happy birthday. Here, take the keys to my car. :D

Dude, I'm doing bad enough already to throw in losing our Beckchump slot. I think I have a stomach ache.

Now now...there's still hope yet. Coach is going to Mexico to scout some players and maybe sign one or two. Of course, if he brings back a flopper like Ruiz, and the dude might end up MIA O:)

Man did we get taken on this expansion draft. we got Jack for Serioux after sending a player to New York for him. We should have gotten O'brian for Serioux in trade from Toronto. we just got ripped a good one.
