Lampshit starting for Minnesota Beasley starting for Houston Alvarez on the Houston bench Accam starting for Philadelphia Oduro on the Montreal bench
According to the just released 2018 USL Media Guide, Michael Harrington is one of the two "Key Players" highlighted for North Carolina FC! Wow, and we thought things sucked!!!
Sort of the opposite, but same general part of the body. “I’m not Steve Bannon, I’m not trying to suck my own c*ck,” Anthony Scaramucci. https://www.newyorker.com/news/ryan...house-leakers-reince-priebus-and-steve-bannon
https://barcanumbers.wordpress.com/2018/03/27/the-best-penalty-takers-of-all-time/ Lots of numbers and graphs and shit in order to determine who is the all-time best penalty taker in soccer history. The final result: Is RoF still a thing? He should be in.
Who, before Blanco? The only two I would put above Blanco would be: Zach Thornton Hristo Stoitchkov After Blanco, would be Bocanegra Beasley Segares maybe, Marsch I know that "Chicago Fire Legend" Logan f'n Pause might be a likely member of the Ring of Fire, but he really did nothing to improve the team, on or off the field. Longevity alone is not enough. I would say the same for Curtin, Mapp and Gutierrez (and Marsch...although he should be coaching the Fire) And, that's about it, sadly. If Nikolic sticks around for a few years, he might be a possibility. If the Fire manage to win something with Bastian, or if he stayed around and was effective for three or four years, neither of which are likely. Had the Fire not unceremoniously dumped Sean Johnson, he might be a possibility (second in virtually every goalkeeping category) Interestingly, the Fire have had only 17 players in their history who have managed to play more than 100 games for the team: Armas-214 CJ-296 Jim Curtin -151 Gutierrez-157 Sean Johnson- 176 Mapp- 174 Marsch- 200 Nowak- 114 Nyarko- 196 Pappa- 112 Pause- 286 Razov- 155 Rolfe- 178 Segares- 231 Soumare- 111 Thornton- 215 Whitfield- 103 Seven: Johnson, Nyarko, Pappa, Pause, Rolfe, Segares and Soumare played the majority of their time in the Haumptan Era (Sept. 2017-present) Nyarko and Pappa are the ONLY players picked up by the team after Hauptman became the owner who have managed to play 100 games.
Of course, which is why I did not quote any stats, other than games played. Oh, and because @Chris M hates stats!
Since Andi waited 3 years between Ring of Fire inductees (last 2015) so 2018 somebody should be inducted. My top choices: Thornton Segares Rolfe Conde Kosecki Wolff Podrobozy Stoichkov Beasley Ralph Pappa Pardo Friedrich Magee Accam 2018 Thornton 2021 Beasley 2024 Rolfe 2027 Stoichkov 2030 Wolff 2033 Accam 2036 Ralph 2039 Segares Hopefully Andi is long gone so we could go back to inducting somebody every year.
Diego has been instrumental in the last two Oct. 8th parties. He should get some consideration. Razov was great to us and a great player as well. Arne loved the city and the club and could be brought into the fold with a little love. This is all off the cuff. There’s not a clear answer. Ultimately we need to be nurturing relationships with members of the club so they have an easier chance to show they deserve to be involved in the Ring of Fire. Some of that falls on the current members. Some on the FO. Some on us. Try and bring Pardo back a couple times a year to be involved in community events. If he shows up and is the professional he has always been? Sign him up. Ultimately Mike Ernst should be considered. We do none of the outreach that would make this easier because the FO spends no money.
