He's pretty good. Shaking up the soccer world I'd say.

Honestly, Roblas is the reason it wasn't 5-0 NYCFC. Johnson had a quiet game for the most part.

Id rather have Dax and Vincent than Harrison and Jones.

I'm fine with what we've got, but

    -----------Nikolic
    Accam-Harrison--deLeeuw
    ---------Basti-Juninho
    Jones-Meira-Kappelhof-Polster

looks pretty good too, and has the added bonus that I wouldn't have to admit that Dax is way better than I expected.

I'd rather have (Dax and) Harrison and Jones than
(Dax and) Vincent and Campbell, which is basically what received for Harrison and Jones.

I am not even sure why Dax was mentioned, as his arrival was a year after the "shaking up the f*n soccer world, boys" 2016 draft and not at all related.

That being said, your original statement of Dax and Vincent vs. Harrison and Jones is fine.

It looks fine, but Juninho has been unimpressive and you know what, Basti doesn't look right without Dax playing next to him. They've really gained that sort of chemistry.
And while we're still complaining about JJ, the rest of the league are calling him and Vincent basically equals.

We're good now. We don't need to complain about players we lost when we have suitable replacements. There are only three starters who I don't think should be starting, but one is just out of position (and already has 2 assists), another is T-4th in shutouts, and the last one has 4 goals and 3 assists.

that's not the point, though. The point is to evaluate the 2016 draft day shenanigans and determine if they actually shook up the soccer world, or if Nimrod is an MLS puppet selling paste and calling it diamonds.

Given the ease with which one can back out any number of his moves and end up with a stronger roster, I know where I come down on this.

Vincent for Harrison became the TAM/GAM that went to anywhere of Dax, Juninho, Basti, De Leuuw, or Nikolic. We upgraded from it.

We are not only one of the best teams in the league now, but are probably hot enough to BE the best team. If we were still in last place, I'd let you guys continue to complain about that trade; but we don't need Harrison. Vincent is seen by the rest of the league as one of the two best LBs in the league (the other of course is JJ) and that TAM/GAM has finally been put to good use instead of just hoarding it.

Look, I guess I'm not wallower anymore, because I see us out there actually proving we are the best. As we once said while we were losing and being told everything was okay: "RESULTS, MOTHERFVCKER!" The scoreboard says we're doing just fine right now without them. Maybe we forgot what it was like to win, but let's enjoy it while it lasts before our midfield retires in a few seasons.

Where are getting this? I am genuinely interested, as I have not seen that.

In the Audi rankings, he is listed at 239th (one above manbun).

In the preseason blog, Vincent in ranked 9th out of the top 10 left backs

Twellman commented how much better Johnson has gotten with his distribution (especially using his left foot).

Imagine if we had kept Harrison and never signed Juninho how even more potent this offense could've been...

Only Juninho is terrible, and deLeeuw is just serviceable.

Team would be better with Jones and Harrison than Juninho and deLeeuw. Vincent just got exposed by a 2nd division squad and we could have spent that draft pick on an actual RB.

Did you see Vincent's terrible crosses last night? I counted at least four that were so far off the mark I wouldn't want him on my rec league team. If only we still had Jones instead.

Bone should of had the game winning assist, AR got it all wrong.

Twellman said the the AR couldn't SEE the Cincinnati player as why he was called off sides. Well if she couldn't see him, wouldn't that mean he was even with the last defender, at worst (meaning being on side).

With VAR coming this summer, I wonder if it will be coming to USOC also.

I don't think it was as obvious as that. And "Twellman said" is one of the least convincing argument starters since Lron got banned.

BTW, I'm really glad we signed Josh Sampson and Josh Lampson to play goal in this match - would have been a disaster with our regular keepers. ;)

Sure it is. If she couldn't see him, that means he was even (which is on sides) or he was behind him (which is on sides).

It was a TERRIBLE call, if I was a Cincinnati fan and ended up losing boy would I be one PISSED off person.
