from a few days ago Klose praises Werner. (It's an English translation) "To Timo's strength belongs the running paths, he breaks gaps, is constantly in motion, suddenly to push at high speed into the depth and the back of the opponent," said Klose, who scored in 137 games for Germany 71 goals. Werner currently holds a better odds: six goals in eight games. Klose says, "This is hardly predictable and difficult to defend, he is an instinct footballer with a game of wit and an incredible move to the goal." There is no doubt that the DFB trainee has nothing to complain about. A "really pleasant boy" was Werner with "good character". At the moment there is "no concern that he sets off." However, Klose urges: "The season is still long. If you want to be part of a world championship, you have to play consistently at the highest level." http://www.spox.com/de/sport/fussba...r-timo-werner-rb-leipzig-guter-charakter.html
played the full CL game vs Monaco. Played as well as one would expect in a team playing their 1st ever CL game. Pretty even game, neither was better than the other. And without Naby Keita, it really felt like RB had no midfield. Werner had like 3-4 half chances to score, including one where he was like a second away from the ball but was barely beaten by the keeper. Just a bit more and he would have been in with an open net. Was fouled aggressively numerous times, including being hit on the face. Seemed like Monaco were afraid of him. He also did a good job defensively, stealing the ball away from attacking Monaco players a couple of times. well here's hoping GS2 goes better for him and RB.
Think Ole Pohlmann has a similar game to Timo Werner n Marcus Rashford Leipzig should consider him as a long term replacement It's not like Wolfsburg are playing their youth products anyway. Even players like Itter, Yeboah n Nieland can be given some playing time

Youth. #RBLBMG and Timo Werner has been involved in more goals than any other U21 player in Europe's top 5 league since the start of last season.25 ⚽️5 🅰️ pic.twitter.com/IlqjZx8fB3— Squawka (@Squawka) September 16, 2017
Hasenhüttl's rotation plan against Augsburg was a total flop. RB were outmatched by the Fuggers. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...augsburg-91_rasenballsport-leipzig-15778.html
The Red Bulls off to a very mediocre start to the season. Hasenhüttl's squad is quickly getting figured out. http://m.bild.de/sport/fussball/rb-leipzig/siege-oder-erste-krise-53301392.bildMobile.html
Leipzig finally do something right. 1-0 lead vs Eintracht Frankfurt, Augustin scores from the rebound after Werner's shot.
when you look at the top scorer chart, -Lewa is 1st with 7 goals but he scored 3 penalties -Auba is 2nd with 5 goals but he scored 1 penalty -Werner is tied for 2nd with 5 goals but he scored 0 penalties No Penalties 1-Werner at 5 goals 2-Lewa and Auba at 4 goals
sucks that Augustin got that tap in goal when Werner did everything. Good placement, movement and shot.
in a recent interview. Werner talked about Spain and England if he were to move to another club. With tons of interest from those 2 countries. I don't think he'll go to another German club. He said he wants to play for a big club and while talking about Germany he mentioned RB and Bayern only no Dortmund. Although what he said he doesn't seem to into Bayern either. at the end if he moves he might be better off leaving Germany. Get away from the bashing.
I think Werner needs an environment where he can play at the striker spot Not a team that play 4-3-3 with two veteran strikers and they have to play him out wide. He will struggle like he did in his Stuttgart days If he joins Man Utd for example, he will be used at the wing again. I think Werner was terrible as a winger Teams that play 3-5-2 or 4-4-2, will be more ideal
Dortmund's chance to get Werner was when he left Stuttgart. But he ending up joining RB Leipzig for what turns out to be a huge bargain now. And in terms of career development for the lad has worked out for everyone. If Werner was on the market today, I think he'd be beyond Dortmund's price range. Considering how Sane was sold a couple years ago for 50 Mio, while achieving less in the Bundesliga before leaving. Schalke are also less financially well structured in player management than RB. Werner would go for a minimum 70-80 Mio+ right now. As ambitious as Dortmund want to be, that seems unlikely to be a deal that they'll be making.
Well if thats the case then RB will demand every dollar from that sale and then some for Werner. And that's just theoretically if they want to do business with each other and if Werner wants to go to Dortmund.
