10 minutes into the game and he probably already decided it. Just great. O_O

it's important to be a difference maker when playing for the German NT.:D:thumbsup:

and Werner should have scored his 2nd there.

Werner is obviously RB's all time scorer in terms of top flight football.

but in terms of goals in all levels,
Werner's now #3 with 34 goals after 1 and half season at RB,
while Poulsen has 38 goals (although only 9 goals of that were for RB while in 1BL) after 5 seasons
and #1 Daniel Frahn with 88 goals but 0 were scored beyond 2BL and played 5 seasons.

Werner stats in all competition are
34 goals and 11 assists in 56 games.

this could be a way to use Werner too with his pace
start him on the bench and when the opposition starts tiring then put him on

we saw that vs Australia at the CC, how effective he's off the bench. I think he can be either starter or bencher and do well. Imagine you start the game with a striker like Gomez then the last 30 minutes in comes Werner with his pace destroying everyone, lol.

post doesn't even include that he has 11 1BL assists for RB.

    so pretty much
31 goals and 11 assists in 48 1BL games. That's him being involved in 42 goals in 48 games for the league as an RB player.

also with today's goal Werner is now only 6 goals away from hitting his 50th career 1BL goal. While now only 1 goal away from hitting his 50th competitive goal while playing in 1st division.

they are also 2 players that help in the build up play as well as set up goals just as much as they score them. Werner for example had 3 goals and 2 assists in 4 CC games during the Summer.

both players are also ones that are capable dribblers.. Pretty much 2 players that aren't static at all.

I've been saying for ages, the passing game to death is meaningless if you don't have players who can make a difference themselves, make something themselves.

I am not too convinced that he worths 120mil , even in this crazy market

I dont think he makes too much damage as a lone striker in a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3. He is more of a 3-5-2 or 4-4-2 striker.

He lacks the back-to-goal ability and cant act as a pivot up top

In a rather poor run of form and i can see exactly why: he is the type of striker who runs into space and makes good off-the-ball movement, but he needs to improve his ability to play back-to-goal and hold up the ball in final third.

he has the amazing pace and he needs to take advantage of it, but he also needs to improve other aspects of his game. I dont think opponents will always play high line defense against Germany and give Timo Werner enough space to make those runs.

sometimes its more than just scoring

Don't forget that he is only 22 years old. He has many years to improve on his weaknesses.

    Terrible form ...

I think he played his worst game ever against Augsburg. He needs some goals to turn things around

you are seriously being too harsh and you seem to only judge how Werner plays while never looking at the whole team. A striker can only play well when the team provides something. Even with the win, the last 2 games RB have been an unconvincing team. Keita has also been poor this game even with his goal.

and you keep ignoring that last season, Sabitzer, Werner, Keita, and Forsberg played almost the whole season in the starting XI.

That has not been the case AT ALL this season. They have rarely played all 4 together, that's a huge deal as the difference between this season and the last.

at one point, Werner had some health issues, then another where Keita got like 3 red cards in 2 months as well as being benched a few games. Back in the 1st half, Sabitzer was out for a few months and he missed out today's game because of being unfit. Forsberg has been out for months now and no one on the team is anywhere near the player he is or provides as much as he does.

I posted a stat tweet that says that RB only have won 2 games out of 8 where Sabitzer was out. That's only 25%, which includes today's game.

Nor am I worried since the German NT, has the quality in midfield and on the wings that is a ton better than RBs.

he's the youngest striker on the scoring table at 21. The other guys have also had droughts, don't see you complaining that Volland hasn't scored for awhile.
