I like how you have it as RMC because lets be honest there is a lot to right this ship before we can even think about MLS cip
I've seen some articles where it seems like "sex workers" get a pass because that is the work they have chosen and we shouldn't job shame them. I don't know, I can't keep up with what is acceptable or non-acceptable anymore.
I'm not looking at it from the standpoint of the sex workers, I'm looking at it from the standpoint of your regular soccer mom and her daughters. What does this say to them about how the MLS respects women? Is the MLS just a college fraternity where "boys will be boys" or does the MS actually believe in the slogan that you see during every MLS broadcast, where you are welcome no matter what your gender, sexual preference, race, etc? I think that allowing Atlanta United to take the trophy to a strip club sends the wrong message to the fans and undermines their message of inclusiveness. Or in other words, although Alex Morgan just won the US Soccer Player of the Year, all the MLS is really interested in is if she can pole dance.
I don’t think that’s fair. MLS, per se, didn’t do that. Atlanta United did it. And I seriously doubt that they ran it by MLS HQ before they did. Oh. And...where can one catch Alex Morgan pole dancing? Asking for a friend.
And Atlanta United should be suitably punished and MLS should issue an executive communication stating that MLS doesn't condone such behavior and respects all soccer players no matter what their gender, race, sexual orientation, etc. Will it happen? I dunno. If not, I wouldn't be surprised since Atlanta are the golden boys of the MLS right now. Now, if another team had done that, like say RSL, then the MLS would have to show their outrage by requiring mandatory sexual harassment training classes and the loss of TAM/GAM/draft picks, etc.
Darn! And here I thought Waibel was negotiating Zlatan's transfer to RSL. I don't think this is a record since I think Beckham's contract was more but then there could be some caveats with Beckham's contract.
Rep! A million times Rep! I'm sure he's a great guy but he is what we thought he was and that's peaked. But I'm beating a dead horse.
The FO is afraid to do something like this tbh. The reason: they are afraid of replacing him with a pool boy type dud. No confidence at all.
WTF!!! We have young academy players like Bofo, Lennon, Baird, etc., that we could throw in there. They may or may not be as good as Plata, but at least they haven't peaked yet.
AKA "necrohippoflagellation" or if you are really into it, "necrohipposadism". A common past time here on BigSoccer along with "preachin' to the choir".
Wow! Sigi died? I knew he was hospitalized, but this is the first that I heard that he died. Edit: The MLS propaganda website has a big tribute to him. https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2018...time-winningest-mls-head-coach-passes-away-65
