outside of literally when he only has to take 5 steps and one touch shoot, he's been atrocious since arriving at chelsea.
Even if we pull through this, I'm extremely disappointed with the second half performance. We can never play a full 90 minutes.
Am I the only one who thought sorri as going to sub in Caballero in the last 30 seconds......too soon
Glenn Hoddle getting really worked up on UK TV about taking RLC off and Sarri's refusal to change the system. He wants Barclay and RLC with Kante. I think that he was instrumental in turning round Chelsea back in the day.
turns out Kepa is pretty good at PKs.... i also think RLC shouldn't have come out, but the like for like changes i think i can understand. we REALLY could not have conceded, because of away goals, not conceding was slightly more important than scoring. so not pushing too much forward i think is better overall. but holy crap, that was two teams absolutely going all out for it. shocked no one scored with how open the game was.
yea we are going to need to improve....i'm not sure we will or not. maybe kante has a chance of recovering by then, and maybe christensen too, not sure what exactly took him down or how bad it is.
Got the result and nipped top 4, but we really have been average at best the last two months or so. Really struggle to create scoring opportunities. We should be thankful that Arsenal choked last weekend because I really don't think we could have gotten 3 points at LC if required. 2nd half and ET today.... 3 shots on target and all efforts from outside box ? Let's not forget we had 2 balls cleared off the line. Really fortunate. There just seems to be something fundamentally wrong with the style. Maybe it's the players, I don't know, but it's hard to watch. I know Sarri will be here next season and given time and the right guys maybe we will have success, but I'm not sold on him longterm and to me his in game mgmt is awful.
