Looks Pedro will be the last sub for Spain. Can't believe the chances inside the box for Spain in the last few minutes but they just can't pull the trigger!

Not much we can do when a team like the Czechs puts 11 behind the ball.. they are tall and very strong.

    We won, job done.

We really need to score early if we don't want frustrating games like today. Is Turkey a defensive team? If so, maybe we start with Aduriz instead. Also, Cesc just slows the game way too much. He is a nice player to have in a more open, countering type of game but in these types of games he is just a traffic marker. That said, he did have a game saving goal line clearance.

The thing is that none of the subs added anything for Spain and IMO Koke should have come on instead of Thiago

Personally i'll play the midfield trio of Busquet/Koke/Cesc and move Iniesta foward and give him and Silva free roles to roam around. Koke will make the Spanish midfield stronger defensive wise and since Nolito doesn't look very good against teams that sit deep and counter, Iniesta might as well move up to his position.

Agreed 3 points and the Turks await! Why do I believe that as always the mid's or defense will score the goals for the NT because the forwards just can't seem to get er done!

Aupa Espanha y La Furia Roja!

I honestly don't think it would have mattered. We had 6 players surrounded by 11 players in triangle formation... meaning each of our players upfront had potentially 3 defenders on him.

We went through this exact same thing when we won the last Euro12 and WC... we never beat anyone with more than 1 goal for the exception of the final game with Italy.

We could have easily lost this game.. I would argue the czechs had better chances on goal then us.

I agree that if Spain goes far in this competition, you guys will do so by winning your games with not more than 2 goals difference cos i don't think the strikers will score much.
