I thought about creating a thread, but I opted to just let the Gringos thread serve that purpose. However, if regulars here prefer a dedicated thread for the tournament, I'm completely open to it. Please state your opinion here. If I don't hear anything within the next couple days, I'll merge this thread.

France, Spain and Germany are the three team I believe have the best shot.

I'm still not sold on Belgium yet. They have some nice talent but they have some glaring holes.

That French defense worries me that's why I have them crashing in the semifinals!! But today I have them beating Romania 3-1!!

I agree with you about Belgium!! At 1st I was gonna pick them to win Group E, but I think their 'golden generation' will be like that of Portugal's of the 2000's...they wont win crap!!!

My goodness, what a game-winner from Payet. Early contender for goal of the tournament.

Payet was brilliant. France defense is suspect though.

He really grew into the game once he drifted to the central areas as opposed to the wings, where he started.

Yeah Varane's injury really hurt!! And Rami looks to be their weakest link in the back

Vardy is also 29 and had a wonderful breakout season for Leicester, who I hope stays for next season, isn't short of teams wanting to buy him!!

That was pathetic!! Ol man Roy took out Rooney for Wheelchair, tried to hold on to a 1-0 lead when they could've brought on Vardy or Rashford to run at those tired Russian legs!!

And what the hell was Joe Hart doing?? Did Alisson give him some pointers??:x3:

Fights between fan bases pre-game ? Flares being thrown on the pitch ? Fans creating problems in the stadium and getting arrested ? Those South Americans are so disorderly ... :whistling:
