    Ladies and Gents, at the 2014 World Cup there were some people I met on this forum in Brazil and we were able to schedule little meetups pre-game or doing the touristy stuff. Unfortunately I was unable to meet up with some (@Stuckin1au you fall in this category but that will change!).

    If anyone is keen on any meetups pre/post game or on a free day, simply share your itinerary and plans and get something going. There was a whatsapp group that was extremely handy but after the world cup it was hard to keep up with the many off-topic conversations going on - maybe another one specifically for the Euros should be created...

    My signature outlines the games I'll be attending - is anyone doing both the semi's? I am but under extreme circumstances! Hope someone else is sharing a bit of the pain.

    We are going to both semis and the final also. Haven't booked transportation yet.

    Have you sorted everything already?

    yeah im screwed and that was a result of me wanting to stay in Nice for x amount of days.

    I booked my stay in Nice ages ago from the 28th of June til the 8th of July thinking I would just do a day trip to the Lyon semi and at the time I hadn't got any tickets to the Marseille semi.

    Long story short - my exact semi finals routes are:

    ================================
    Nice to Lyon - Plane
    July 6, 1:30PM - 2:25PM

    {there will be a 7 hour sleep at the airport after the Lyon Semi}

    Lyon to Nice - Plane
    July 7, 8:30AM - 9:25AM
    ================================
    Nice to Marseille - Bus
    July 7, 2:45PM - 6:00PM

    Marseille to Nice - Train
    July 8, 1:37AM - 4:30AM
    ================================

    So its screwed but I'm doing Nice to Lyon, Lyon to Nice, Nice to Marseille, Marseille to Nice, then Nice to Paris from the 6th right up til the 8th. Just hoping I don't die from exhaustion or something.

    Haha ********.

    We are not copying your route :)

    Probably gonna book trains or buses to the semis and then fly to Paris for the final.

    Anyone else doing both semis and final?

    Yeah the smart thing to do would have been for me to use Lyon or Marseille as a base but I was not holding my breath on getting the Marseille semi-final. Staying on the beaches of Nice killed me but hey, I chose this I guess :p

    I'll be attending both semis as well, and probably will spend the 3-4 days before Lyon semi in Nice to relax a bit.

    Earlier than that, I'll arrive in Lille/Lens for the first R16 match and work my way down, hopefully following Spain (although that didn't work out too well in 2014) unless they somehow end up in the third position that plays in Lyon...

    I'm pretty sure we met up in Lapa with the big group yeah? We'll be crossing paths in France for the R16 in Lyon and the QF in Marseille, keep in touch. Travelling with a group from Toronto. Hope M40 is France as that will be a lot of fun to attend. The atmosphere in Lyon that Sunday would be electric. My fondest memory from Brazil was attending the BRAvCHI R16 in Belo Horizonte. Arrived at the stadium early and just soaked it in. That Extra Time and Penalties experience was one I'll never forget, esp the party afterwards!

    I will carry the baton if you want and take the semi and final tickets off your hands. I know it will be tough but I'm willing to put my body through the pain barrier. Thinking of your health. You can thank me later :)

    I am on the 7.28am to Paris then 12.28 to Lille. I didn't realise there was a metro ride needed. I did try and grab z cheap fare last Friday but only saw crazy prices on the direct route.

    I'd be down to meet for drinks and do any sightseeing.

    Going to be in France from July 2nd to the 11th.

    Have Paris quarter and the Final. I might go to Bordeaux quarter (might have a ticket). Also have Lyon semi ticket, but remains to be seen if I will go.

    Staying in the 7th in Paris.

    Yeah wont be able to travel with you from Paris unfortunately - I'm based in Nice from the 28th of June til the 8th of July - will be making my own way to Lyon. We'll meet before the game and feel free to hang out with me until 6AM the next morning lol.

    Looking forward to meeting new faces and seeing some old ones - can recognise some of the names from the WC2014 threads already. :)

    Same here. First and lowest price was around 85€. I decided to go for 1st class which was €5 more. Didn't bother the cheaper option of transiting in Paris as I wanted to have a good rest but I guess the metro ride in Paris won't be too bad.

    wow, some of you guys are pretty ambitious with your itinerary.

    mine as it stands right now, staying the whole time in lille.
    june 9th arrive at CDG airport paris, train to lille
    june 11 bicycle to lens, swiss/alb
    june 12 train to paris, tur/cro, return to lille, ger/ukr
    june 13 train to st denis, ire/swe
    june 14 train or plane TBD, to The Hague, attend Bruce Springsteen concert if I can get a ticket
    june 15 rus/slo
    june 16 train to st denis, ger/pol, ticket to be confirmed
    june 18 train to paris, por/aus
    june 19 fra/swiss
    june 20 train to lyon, join Ken's Fulham Fun Bus, eng/slo
    june 21, bicycle to lens, tur/cze
    june 22 ire/ita
    june 25 train to paris, gm 38, ticket to be confirmed
    june 26 gm 41
    june 27 train to st denis, gm 43
    june 29 train to CDG airport. fly home

    I am kidding about the bicycle part, :) will catch a ride or drive to lens.

    now if I could just get 1 of those mythical eng/wal tickets I would be ecstatic.
