It wouldn’t make sense for espn to do this on their own. They were probably forced to do it or threatened with a lawsuit.

Exactly. The blackout restrictions/regions come from the other broadcasters whether FloSports, univision or FOX Sports.

Don't make me say what people on this board don't want me to say again.

Why not just watch the compressed matches on the mls app?

I just got the mls for this very reason, but I can't find them on the app. How do I find them?

They're hidden at the bottom of "Latest."

Good news for ESPNPlus subscribers and likely the lower leagues, hopefully for the competition as a whole.

Sucks a little for those of us who used to enjoy the last round or two on TV, but if it helps the entire competition in the long run I'll take not being able to see it I guess.

A few weeks into the season, I finally subscribed to ESPN+. Now that MLS is in week 10 and we’ve passed the 1/4 mark, I’ve decided that ESPN+ is a big step backwards from the old MLSLive of 2017 (I dodn’t subscribe in 2018).

It seems like only half the games are in the app archives. If the game played on twitter, Univision, or Fox, I guess it never shows up in ESPN+. I’m a Quakes STH and I think there are only a few Quakes games in ESPN+. It’s very frustrating.

Or am I doing something wrong?

Also the interface is so cumbersome to get to the MLS games. Making MLS a favorite didn’t help at all.

Yes Nationally televised games are not on ESPN+. I don't need to see a game from three weeks ago so that does nothing for me. And as Abner said it is way better that FloCrap.

I go to watch (the play button) and then scroll down a few rows to the soccer icon. That usually tunes me in.

Yep, ESPN+ content only includes games on ESPN or broadcast locally. For ESPN games, if you don't have a cable package, you have to wait unitl after the broadcast is over to watch (scroll to the bottom for on demand). For Fox games I go to the MLS app and watch the 20 minute digest.

It seems like they recently rebranded those condensed games to call them "MLS in 15" or something like that and they're now 15 min instead of 20. But the cool thing is, they post them pretty soon after the game ends so you don't have to wait hours to watch them.
