Anyone who was a size medium would have made out like a bandit. Modern-day players are a bunch of teeny dudes. We yearn for the days of Sigi and Tom Presthus and all. (Both big, but in different ways.) And yes, they had "all of the" #ForColumbus jerseys. I didn't see any blue shorts.
Great success! I got some of the For Columbus socks. Seemed like they had a ton of good stuff this year. We can probably thank Barbasol/Acura for that.
For one of the most despised kits, the For Columbus shorts were scooped up before you can say Wil Trapp. The legacy season ticket holders got first dibs and there wasn't any blue shorts to be had. Surprisingly, many jerseys were still around. The back and gold socks were also gone. Was able to snag one For Columbus socks and considered myself lucky. Got a long sleeve For Columbus Duka and one short sleeve Connor Casey. There was a Kei Kamara and Parkhurst black jersey but I resisted the urge. Got a black Higuain pair of shorts. He cuts the lining out of them. Lots of practice jerseys, polos, pants, quarter zip and full zip light jackets and blank goal keeper jerseys and shorts. Of course, a cornucopia of compression shorts, if you are into that sort of thing. All and all, I left somewhat fulfilled. I wanted to get whole kits including the socks for last year and couldn't snag the primary socks and for Columbus shorts. Last year equipment looked sharp and people generally were satisfied snagging something they liked.
I was in line at 5:45 and that was to late. I was lucky to find one XL grey short sleeve shirt with crest and Bubba-sol on it. Tons of Medium and small stuff
This info is so important and I think most people are caught off guard the first time or two that they go. This isn't a general sale on Crew gear. This is team merch so the Xtra Fat's probably aren't going to find a whole lot. We don't have the Andy Iro's of the world on the team anymore.
There weren't very many blue shorts even early, actually. Maybe they burned them and that's why we are playing better. I did get my For Columbus Parkhurst shirt, though. No complaints. Somehow I found a XL training pullover for a friend. But most of the stuff was M or S.
