Oh well, let's hope for the best... Appropriate from Fred though: we're going to need all the help we can get. https://www.instagram.com/p/B2Y-kIqnSL2/
Guessing we're going 4-2-3-1 again, which means AP is playing wide right. Not sure why Ole persists with these kind of decisions (not deploying players in more optimal positions). Even if per chance we were deployed in a 4-3-3, we're looking at either Mata or AP on the right, which is bunk either way. Let's hope that Mata can find his creative boots and make things happen for Rashford and James. And McTominay and Matic vs Ndidi, Choudhury, Tielemans and Maddison is just a scary thought tbh. Maybe our bench will save us today... Leicester's XI: Schmeichel, Pereira, Evans, Soyuncu, Chilwell, Ndidi, Choudhury, Tielemans, Maddison, Gray, Vardy
I am really interested in what happens if we lose this. With no Clubhouse cancer Pogba and evil Martial ruining the team for Future HoF Sir Marcus, who will @incighte blame.
Rashford continues his hot streak vs Leicester from the spot. 1-0 United. Marcus Rashford buries the penalty 👀 pic.twitter.com/I2nhweKrvX— NBC Sports Soccer (@NBCSportsSoccer) September 14, 2019
United not playing that bad tbh so far. Just not creating much in the way of chances. Final 3rd play is found wanting and confirms our lack of creativity, especially with Pogs out.
Yeah it is gonna take a jailbreak type thing where we come from deep and someone is running for just past half way with the ball.
To his credit though, McTominay is fighting hard. Lost a couple of balls as of late, but I'd say he's been our standout player so far. Whatever else might be said about him, he's been up to the challenge playing a new position this season.
His rapid development has shocked me. I thought he would need a loan spell but he has has meet every challenge. Even doing Jose's chaotic time, Jose was filled with praise for him, his work ethic and coach-ability.
Still not sure yet as to whether he is our long term answer at the 6 though. We'll see where he is in that department as the season progresses. That being said, I think his place in the squad (as an all purpose option in midfield) is beyond doubt at this juncture.
Nervy game now with Leicester pushing even more forward (with Choudhury coming off for Perez). We are looking to play on the counter but nothing has come off it just yet. Would think about taking Mata off soon. Fred has finally come on for Matic. Chong looks to be next.
