There is a risk of a letdown after an epic, but futile performance against City. Jose must do whatever it takes to ensure a proper frame of mind for these next several very winnable matches.
It will be interesting to see whether Lukaku gets the start, or whether he gets the rest he really, really needs.
i see. maybe you watched it in another language but even then, they should have mentioned it was a three game ban unless they don't know the EPL rules
Depends on the offence that earned the red; - 1 match for professional foul (eg stopping player through on goal) or for two yellows - 2 match for dissent - 3 for violent conduct / dangerous tackle

Hoping for some changes tomorrow to mix things up and give some players a much needed break ahead the upcoming 2wks. Going on the update provided by Jose today, the team I would go with would be: Dave Lindelof. Smalling. Jones Darmian. Herrera. Matic. Shaw Miki Rashford. Martial Lukaku gets to start this one on the bench, not as punishment but putting his form aside, he's played a lot lately. Not sure Zlatan is ready for a starting role yet, but Rashford and Martial can handle Bournemouth at home. I'd give Miki a chance for this game: give him a half at least and see how he does. Both Valencia and AY sit as well: we'll have a tough away game at West Brom, where both will be needed. Shaw had a great game vs CSKA and deserves another chance. With no news on Carrick or Fellaini, have to keep going with Herrera and Matic for this game at least. Hopeful lineup (in terms of what Jose will do), but we need to rotate if we want to remain strong and try to get thru the rest of the month unscathed.
The squad for today. www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/man-utd-team-news-bournemouth-14031084 No Miki today once again. The guy has definitely taken Shaw's place at the top of Jose's sh!tlist now...
So everytime you post the squad, its usually from MEN. Is this an actual list of players submitted to league or club officials? Or is this just a photographer or reporter trying to put 2 and 2 together? Also, you've said in the past that Mhiki lives in the Lowry, so there's always a chance no one will see him arriving.
The squad list is from players seen arriving to the Lowry prior to the game. It's not an official one, so far as I can tell. And yes, the fact that Miki does live close by could be the reason he was not spotted: didn't think about that factor earlier. So let's hope that is the case. As mentioned, I think today's game would arguably be the perfect one for him to play in and try to make a positive impression...
United XI: DDG, Valencia, Smalling, Jones, Shaw, Matic, McTominay, Mata,Lingard, Martial, Lukaku Subs: Romero, Blind, Lindelof, AY, Herrera, Rashford, Zlatan No Miki as feared in the squad once again. Nice to see McTominay get a chance: really hope he can have a good game. Lukaku starting again, hopefully returning on the scoresheet. Bournemouth XI: Begovic, Smith, Francis, Ake, Daniels, Stanislas, Arter, Gosling, Fraser, King, Wilson Subs: Boruc, S. Cook, L. Cook, Surman, Ibe, Af
Hope we win comfortably we need to get that loss over and done with. Btw you guys think the league is over with only 16 out of 38 games played, or do we have a chance to tie them?
City have to lose 4-5 games minimum for anyone to have a chance. You never know what can happen, especially with injuries and whatnot. But it's not likely to happen and as it stands, it's all but over. With that being said, United should not make it easy for them, plus if they can secure 2nd place this year, it will not a bad result as it represents substantial progress on last season...
It aint gonna happen, Ashur. The players need to forget about City and just play to the best of their ability and win every game possible. We'll drop a few points here and there in the league and we'll still likely finish no worse than third, which is functionally no worse then second. Best to calibrate our squad choices to yield maximum results in the three cup comps we're in. And if somehow we get a lucky run of opponents we may just end up in the CL final. There are several clubs that are simply better than us, but in a one-off I like Jose's chances of pulling off the glorious triumph. And what better way to spoil City's celebration when they lift another EPL trophy than by us lifting a CL trophy?
Fukkin hell, NBC, you slime bastards. Well, it's back to the radio broadcast today, with MUTV to the rescue tomorrow.
As with last time we were on NBC Gold we seem to be the featured game on Goal Rush. Last time they showed the entire game uninterrupted. http://stream.nbcsports.com/premier-league/watch-goal-rush edit: Spoke too soon, they've switched to Arsenal
