Then be glad he chose Wales, because if it's really as simple as that then he sounds unmanageably needy. It was one squad. Seriously, if this was a girl, I'd be thinking I'd dodged a bullet.

Well, that is easily solved by playing them in Vilnius for 1 second on Sunday. Though Nigeria can only take 23 players as well. Harrison is not eligible for USA either.
Harrison technically becomes eligible for US citizenship next year iirc, so he'll have an impending decision to make one way or another.
If he plays one second, in a qualifier, for the under 21s before he takes US citizenship he can never play for the USA.
Yeah absolutely, so you can infer from his decision to accept this call-up that his allegienaces lie with England, but if he doesn't get on in a qualifier this month or next, it becomes interesting.
With Scotland and Wales not qualifying for the World Cup it will ultimately hurt their recruiting pitches to youth players also eligible for England.
http://owngoalnigeria.com/2017/10/1...eyi-ojo-over-switch-of-allegiance-to-nigeria/ Could quite possibly be a load of rubbish as I'm very dubious about these sort of sites however just thought I'd add it anyway
I thought this interview was quite telling of how the FA is run, no thought into the future and all about the present! No dialogue with fringe players who are around the squad etc and no contact for four years with a Dual citizen player. I think many of us here are not surprised to hear Zaha say these things as I'm certainly not. I know he's been injured but Would have had him over the Ox in a heartbeat. So why did you choose to play for the Ivory Coast Wilfried? #Thepremierleagueshow pic.twitter.com/hbmWuRjic0— Match of the Day (@BBCMOTD) October 12, 2017
Oh and just to add, the manager that ignored him for England and didn't speak to him is now his club manager......maybe a bit awkward.
Yeah, funny one that. In the longer interview they do talk briefly about Hodgson before they move onto the international thing, but no connection is made at all. They do seem like kind of contentious comments to make when you consider that context. Still, I guess this puts to bed the suggestion that he never really wanted to be tied to England. Sounds like we really did just lose him through neglect.
Yeah I know, another one of these infuriating articles that come out of all Nigeria Soccer. I just think they do it randomly to try and put some sort of pressure on the players or something. http://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=25042
Yeah, only quotes are those from ' someone ' from the Nigerian FA. Just some sort of dirty tricks by Pinnock probably who doesn't seem so trustworthy imo.
lol, that's a special kind of deluded right there. ...so now the penny has dropped will we be hearing less from them?
Depends on their situation doesn't it. If they are born and raised in England and feel they are English then they will play for England. If they feel they are more Nigerian, they will play for Nigeria. There is more to it than they have Nigerian blood so they should play for Nigeria. My girlfriend was born and raised in Sweden but has Danish blood, does she feel Danish, No, she feels Swedish and that is her Country and that's her choice.
You should follow this players on instagram or snap chat My point is the also feel Nigerian as much as they are English
So they're English as much as they feel Nigerian? Cool. English players should play for England not Nigeria. Or perhaps you can't be quite so reductive about it.
