He's starting to wind me up now. The fullback is there to be dusted around the outside but he keeps just turning and passing back or cutting inside and running into bodies.
Yeah, noticed this also. He’s not being positive enough imo and can see him being substituted very soon tbh Fortunately for him Gotze has been even worse
We can't forget he's just 18 and is playing in a bad side. He's an insane prospect, but there's a danger we become hypercritical (like we do too often on here with any English player once they get too familiar).
Yeah off course we have to reign things in a bit but I think we’re only commenting on his performance tonight which wasn’t the best to be fair but he wasn’t alone, Dortmund were awful from what I saw ( turned over once Sancho was subbed ). Im sure he will learn from games like tonight and be better for it.
Didn't he play right winger ? He's never been comfortable there IMO, despite the few assists he recently gave in that position.
I think he was notionally at right wing but in reality he played right across the pitch. It just wasn't a good game for him.
Nelsons on for the last 5 mins and all I can literally here all the time is the coach shouting Reiss, Reiss, Reiss? Anyone else noticed this also?
No goals or assists today for edwards it looks like but 90mins and some fun dribbling on show by all accounts
He's becoming a bit of a favourite with the commentators. They expect to see something from him that makes them happy.
Edwards vs Heerenveen - https://streamable.com/898lt Hopefully won't be too long until he's turning those almost moments into goals.
In your expert opinion, how valued is this newspaper? Is it like l’equipe in france or is it more like an online blog?
"But above all it was Marcus Edwards who gave Excelsior something extras. 'Mini-Messi' the 19-year-old mercenary of Tottenham Hotspur is called. And with every game he plays in the Netherlands, it becomes more clear why. He is small, left legged, and dribbles easier and faster than many amateur footballers run. When he had the ball, you sometimes saw the defenders of Heerenveen already a bit frightened take a step back."
It's one of the three leading publishers on soccer with Telegraafs Telesport and Algemeen Dagblad's AD Sportwereld. Voetbal International however is for decades the leading specialized soccer magazine in the Netherlands. The other two are incorporated into news papers. By the way, I'm not an expert just someone who likes soccer and always is happy when someone good showes up on the pitch

He’s been hooked off at halftime, not sure if he’s taken a knock or it’s tactical but I watched a bit of the game before the City game kicked off and he looked a bit lost tbh, just seemed to struggle to get involved but he’s still adapting but he’s still adapting to new surroundings
