David Brooks is a new name that I hadn't heard of before but he gets a big thumbs up already just for double crossing Wales at the last minute
How about Dan Kemp getting a call up. The tiny attacker is now at West Ham and has done well for the Hammers. Really looking forward to seeing him play as well as the rest of squad. This will be very interesting.
A few squad updates for @TournoiToulon: ⬅️ Ezri Konsa➡️ Joe Worrall⬅️ Cameron Borthwick-Jackson➡️ Josh Grant #younglions— England (@England) May 19, 2017 Ezri Konsa (Charlton) replaced by Joe Worrall (Forest) Cameron Borthwick-Jackson (Man U) replaced by Josh Grant (Chelsea)
I didn't understand the omission of Joe Worrall in first place, he is a good Championship defender already.
From what I've seen of him, and admittedly it's a limited amount, he doesn't look like he'll ever be the right type of player for an England side. He's a throwback defender, and not much more.
That's what even some Forest fans presume because without the ball he can be quite abrassive. But with the ball he is one of the bravest at his feet and majority of the time since he has come into our side he has been the one starting moves from the back.
I'd be surprised if he wasn't in the u19 squad. With TAA and Tom Davies missing out, there's definitely gonna be room for new names.
That's good to hear, thanks for calling me out on it. What you say there was basically my opinion so pleased someone who watches him regularly says it isn't the case
https://www.leedsunited.com/news/te...ira-i-m-really-happy-with-the-england-call-up Ronaldo ( Never thought I'd write a name like that with regards to an England player ) interview. Seems very happy but then again hardly going to say otherwise.
@England tweeted about Slattery getting a call up then deleted it.[/QUOTE] Yeah, I can't see the tweet either now so not sure what's going on there. He was delighted with the call up though so if it's an mistake it's a bit cruel.
Shame about Dozzell but at least Slattery gets an opportunity. EDIT: Ah, just saw he's going to the U19 Euros, good news then!
