So it’s okay to drop the last match or use some of the kids that haven’t gotten playing time it’s up to Gochez. Naturally I would want to go for the win but I wouldn’t want to risk our key players.

It looks like we’ll be facing Mexico and Panama in the next round. Top two go to the 2019 U-20 World Cup.

Jamaica still has a chance to knock out Mexico as they both have 7 points, but Mexico are way ahead on goal difference.

Only chance is for Mex to tie and Jamaica win their last games. Honestly I think that we should rest the starters and give playtime to the bench we are already qualified no reason to risk it, that Panama game is key for our qualification.

Jamaica won by a large margin in their last two games, but unfortunately so did Mexico and therefore the latter made it to the next stage due to goal difference.

We will be playing Panama first, before we play Mexico. Need to give it all we got against Panama; we are lucky to not have been in any other group with USA, Honduras or Costa Rica, so let’s capitalise on this relative advantage!

The match against Guyana has not commenced yet.

El Salvador lost 2-0 to 9-men Guyana. I would hope ES were just resting their main players today.

Still worrisome, not much talent off the bench it looks like

I think it was just a bad game vs Guyana. Time to rebound!

    Panama has defeated ES 1-0.

Highly doubt we will defeat Mexico, so I suppose it’s over for us now?

Sigh I stated that I would have gone to Poland if they qualified, but this shouldn't have surprised me, other countries have plans for youth system for the next 10 years, meanwhile we are scrambling every cycle to bring together a coaching staff.

Australia and El Salvador’s U-20 teams both have a lot of work to do. Sigh indeed, I tell myself not to get my hopes up but in the end I do :(

It’s disappointing because we have the quality and we are just not doing anything because of our feds/coaching staff.

The biggest issue is those small link up passes. Is it me or does the U20 team look more disciplined than the senior team has looked in years past.

I’ve always liked our U-20’s. I remember the 2015 U-20’s & 2016 U-23’s cycle being more appealing than the senior NT under Roca and then Maradiaga.

Btw Mexico has defeated ES 1-0. The campaign is now officially over. Better luck in 2021.

The U20s are out, losing to Mexico 1-0. It’s heartbreaking because we actually have mexico a game in the second half. But oh well, this is not a surprising resutlt. The boys have asked that the process be continued so hopefully they work them hard and have them playing still
