AEK with the cross from the defensive right, GK waves at it, left back misses the ball, falls to a completely unmarked AEK man who roofs it from about 8 yards out. Horrible mistake by the left back, totally lost track of the attacker. Aris fans sound UNhappy FT 1-1
I dont blaem him, Arano came close to hitting that top right corner! I put this on Nasuti, he could have deflected that shot if he woudl have jumped and blocked with his forehead/face.
with 1 and 30 seconds left, you don't need to score you need to end the game, terrible decision, he got greedy and it cost his team the game.
I do. The attacking mentality cost Aris right there. If he pulls back and holds possession on that play instead of going for the shot, they waste at least another 30-60 seconds and kill off the game. As it is, he attempts to go for glory, and gives possesion away, then he is late covering Leonardo on that soft cross that no one for Aris can deal with. A defensive mentality will win games for you as well.
They sure need some better defenders for next year. Their defense does seem to break down in haphazard ways.
They had enough players back it was just a keystone cop moment. They all decided they would misplay the ball and let the ball trickle to the attacker behind them. Really poor and ridiculous defending...
WTF!!!!! Im so ********ing mad about this, aek didn't have a chance the whole game and our defense can't just hit the ball so the game ends. Arano was really good during the game then he made this thing in the end. Thats just one more sign of the bad psychology our players got right now. I think many players will get kicked out at the end of the season.
Well I don't know how much we will be able to spend this summer because of the crisis and everything. But I'm sure we have money to get players with some more brain.
Or Iceland(Larissa got eliminated by a team from there this season). Some of our players don't know where they are playing, they have to understand sometime that the people have big expectations and no one at the club is satisfied with just going to the final or just getting the European spot. Only Cuper and some players have understood that so far, the rest should not play for this great club anymore, they can play for some small team with no goals and no crowd that expect players that fight and give it all every game.
Shame Aris had another late game melt down. I didn't watch the game but it sounds like the defenders couldn't hold possesion the last few minutes resulting in a mistake. This has been a common theme in the handful of games I've seen. The centerbacks in particular have been suspect. To the fellow Aris diehards, is this an area they need to improve next season? I know of a good Yank CB plying his trade in Norway that has thoroughly improved his possession and distribution at the back since his European arrival. Plus he's an arial threat that's good for 4-6 goals per season.
