Crew win 4-1! Too bad about that away goal, but still, going into the second leg 3 goals up with Callens out is a good place to be. Crowd sounded amazing.
Capacity is 20k, doesn't look like 5,584 empty seats, I bet your asshat owner had something to do with it. Good thing is, looks like you'll be getting another home game. #SavetheCrew
A little worried about Pipa and Meram playing so far into the match with a game coming up on the weekend.
So proud. Hard work put in by the boys. Hopefully they have enough in the tank to close it out. You could tell they were feeling it at the end. Best match I've seen from Santos. His ability to push the attack was big. Artur was everywhere in the middle. The return of Artur and the skill of Santos have really opened up the game for Pipa. Now if only Meram and Kamara could finish more of the plethora of chances created for them.
That was exhausting and I was in Chicago. Well done Crew and well done by the stadium. Definitely brought it and looked/sounded good on tv. I like that everyone seems to be disputing that attendance number.
Good goddamn thing NYCFC can't finish. No team should be able to get away with that many giveaways. What dipshit watered the field, too? Everyone slipped everywhere.
Gonna take me a while to fall asleep tonight! Seconded on the field. Unexcusable to have that many players slip and fall on your own turf. But who cares?!? 4-1! Suck it, Precourt!
How was that a 14k crowd? There is no way that was less than 16-17k. But since this league only cares about one metric they need to lie.
Attendance was 19,080 according to club itself. Tonight's #Crew96 attendance - 19,080. Another terrific turnout here at Crew Stadium, third-highest attendance of the year. Thank you fans!— The Crew (@ColumbusCrew) August 11, 2013
