Am hoping he can get a run of games where he can start and get 75+ minutes per game. For me he’s the kind of player where his skill set and attributes can really help the NT in a 2 striker formation. I already know that CRZD is going to counter with “he has 0 goals in 5 games” ;) but his responsibility was more of hold up play and creating space for others; goals are a bonus.

Hopefully whoever is on the shortlist to run the team has duvan as a player worth giving a consistent string of minutes.

If Muriel keeps getting called up, there should be no reason why Duvan shouldn’t either.

That’s a good point. But if we learned anything over any WC cycle is that the lord works in mysterious ways...unless you are in that decision making room.

Although at this rate, I would likely bet on Borre and Villa making the CA squad over someone like Muriel. after seeing him look flat in the friendly I saw live against Argentina, he has fallen off my “high hopes” list

That’s because it’s not an analysis. It’s a simple observation of one inconsistent striker who seems to have some relevance on the NT to another who doesn’t.

I understand that but what I said is also not far off. And that doesn’t only apply to Muriel. Let’s not act like certain individuals who’ve been absolutely abysmal with club haven’t got consecutive calls to the NT.

who?? maybe aviles and dorlan............or others in minor leagues.

If something had the last process is that the core of players used were of the best.......not the best guys of the month

Yup. To me I love it when a Colombian scores penalties.

Especially since we have seen many players miss penalties.

Good to have another future option at the spot kick if he get's consistent at them.

Duvan and Borre both playing out of their skin the last month or so, hopefully they both can hold that form after breaking through and becoming important for their teams. Think they both have earned a good look at this point, and Cucho doing well too let's give the new blood the chance to start.
