And a very good one, too, from the looks of it.

Will we ever see Jozy play when Hull's midfield is playing this good??? Oh yeah, there was that one time against Manchester City . . .

Adu did not start with Aris yesterday either despite two scoring in two recent games-its a conspiracy.....

You wouldn't think this match was at Goodison, the way Hull are taking this match to Everton.

Of course as I type this, Everton get a bit of a mini-surge

Won't be surprised to see both players subbed in. Arteta is looking slow and Zaki has been quiet.

who is this cairny character....with he and Bullard in the middle they have the look of an actual premiership midfield. Was he a Hull academy product, did they buy him from a lower division? hes pretty damn good

Arteta should have released the ball sooner there for a shot.

And having said that, that had all appearances of an Everton counter-attack, rather than trying to force the issue at home.

Beautiful chip pass from Heitinge finds a sprinting Arteta, but he screws up the counter, and goes wide on a shot. shoulda done better with that, and he normally does do better. He's been out for a long time.

Arteta, wide left this time. Zaki makes a mental error on the other end. Shot wide right, but had the overlap available.

Good look at Jozy on the bench there, as Phil Brown was remonstrating his team on.

Hull's looking (dare I say it) good. The better team so far in the first 10 minutes.

Zaki with a great chance to put Barmby through but takes it himself. Bad decision, it was a great opportunity.

Arteta has been grandfathered in to his position since the injury. Just not the same player. Instead of Arteta I'd like to see Donovan in the middle....that is his most dangerous position.

Yakubu hits the post from 5 yards out. Off a bad turn-over from Hull.
