Aha, I see now. So your hobby happens to be as a recruiter, and you learned about US citizenship and FIFA eligibility out of necessity to facilitate discussion at your real job, as a frequent BS-poster? I happened to work a little bit as a technical recruiter at a pretty big staffing firm (not Randstad or Robert Half big, but pretty big) but I didn't really need to know too much about citizenship except for a cheatsheet that they gave us covering all the different types of H1b's and etc. There's a lot of weird rules, and it always sucked when we had to turn away a guy/gal who was reeally trying to latch on somewhere to stay in the country, but either we (or the client) were unwilling to sponsor...
would he earn more at Olympiacos then at SKC? Okay there's CL football and bonuses but considering the state of current Greece who knows.
Well he is paid thus. I tend to think there are clubs who would pay him more than that. He is no Michael Bradley returning to Canada from the reserves of Europa-level Serie A but.......and he didn't fail at Sunderland after failing at Hull however......... Still, Kansas City is a fantastic place with highly mediocre barbeque.
Well, if he doesn't, then what reason would he have for going there? Tzatziki sauce? Chobani yogurt? Some other Greek stuff that I am sure is great but that I can't think of at the moment?
BTW, it ought to be noted that Peter Vermes rarely stands in the way of his players moving on. He sold Kei Kamara and Roger Espinosa, with each returning to MLS after a couple of years in England.
Hmmm, living on the coast of the Mediterranean in the Athens suburbs, taking the wifey to the Parthenon .....or living in Kansas City and taking the wifey to the Crown Center aquarium.
I been there. Athens is crowded and the alphabet is different. I'll take Kansas City. Athens isn't really on the Mediterranean or anything, it's hectic. It's not Santorini. Plus the pay check cashes in America.
Touche. My earlier point was would he really earn far more in Greece then in MLS. If it's like 1 million euros plus bonuses from CL play, why the hell not....but Greece is in a bad situation financially and probably not worth the risk and then also with Sydney's career....interesting to see what might happen
You do know that wifey has a pro career of her own, right? Last I heard USWNT members get 6 figure salaries.
For the reference purposes - or is it tortoises? - Fabian Castillo was sold/loaned by FCD to Trabzon for $2M+$2M - $2 now + $2 more if Trabzon decide to keep him in January. If they don't pick up the option, FCD keeps the $2M (or, 2/3rd of it, with the rest going to MLS HQ) and takes back the player.
No point getting snarky. My post wasn't meant to be that. Since they spent most of 2015 trying to play in the same city I just don't think they will easily accept living in separate continents. Particularly so now that she is in her 6 month of pregnancy.
The Greeks do know how to make things confusing: http://www.thebluetestament.com/201...greed-to-sell-dom-dwyer-to-olympiacos-for-4-5
If Olympiakos are interested in Dom Dwyer how long is it going to be in so other clubs from France Portugal and even Germany are interested I will say Olymipiakos have a good club and have some decent CL campaigns and it only takes 1 solid year there to earn a big move elsewhere I personally think he should have his agent look for other clubs that pay just as much or more and play in bigger leagues Teams like Anderlecht, Sporting CP, Marseille etc etc could all use some ST If a club as big as Olympia cl if a club as big as Olympiakos is interested there's usually a host of other clubs following suits
Athens is an awesome city, foods good, people are nice, streets are a tad dirty but thats ok. The view from the Acropolis at night though...Wow.
i doubt Greece has a women's league. but hey Sydney could be a pioneer there. or maybe join a French or German club. Only a few hrs by flight
