The Bianconeri beat Torino 2-0 in the Coppa Italia last night, and face Cagliari in the final match before the winter break. Both Sturaro and Marchisio started last night, but had to be withdrawn with injury. Today the Old Lady’s official website states that the latter has muscular fatigue, while Sturaro has severe bruising on his left knee and “both players will be evaluated tomorrow”. Mattia De Sciglio was involved in part of the session, and could return to the bench for Saturday’s match.
Claudio does not seem able to go a full 90 at this point. Hopefully he will be able to get back in form by the end of the season or if not by next season.
