If you follow Juve on any social media outlets you'll see that they've been posting about him and his progress. He'll most likely join the senior team for games within the month.

If that Howedes injury is true, it is unbelievable unfortunate.

    16. Lichtsteiner / flexor muscle right thigh / 27 Nov (?)
    17. Mandzukic / calf strain left leg / 30 Nov (?)
    18. Howedes / tear rectus femoris muscle right thigh / 30 Nov (30 days)

It appears we came through yesterday's match with no setbacks on the injury front. There are some updates to the latest who made the list with not so good news about Howedes.

Benedikt Howedes has sustained a tear to the rectus femoris muscle in his right thigh and is expected to be out of action for a prolonged period with a possible return date no earlier than the winter break. This timeframe will be better established over the coming weeks.

Stephan Lichtsteiner is undergoing his rehabilitation from an injury to the flexor muscles in his right thigh, for which further therapy is required to ensure a gradual recovery.

Meanwhile, Mario Mandzukic is doubtful for Tuesday’s trip to Athens. The Croatian forward is being monitored on a daily basis after reporting an injury to the calf muscle in his left leg during Thursday’s training session in Vinovo.

“Miralem Pjanic trained for a part of the workout after reporting a muscle strain in his left thigh during the Inter match,” Juve’s official website revealed.

“Stephan Lichtsteiner and Gianluigi Buffon underwent personalised training regimes, while Giorgio Chiellini trained separately after picking up an injury to his right thigh.”

I can't wait for Pjaca to return! Having an out and out right footed winger will make this attack even more deadly!

Goody. Hope he gets fit soon.

Would be nice to have one forward/winger that has a right foot.

Mario Mandzukic, meanwhile, did not train today as a result of the injury sustained to his calf muscle against Bologna, for which he has required 13 stitches.

Nothing on Higuain. The following was reported ....

Stephan Lichtsteiner, meanwhile, resumed training with the squad, while Gianluigi Buffon, Giorgio Chiellini and Juan Cuadrado worked out separately.

t’s “almost impossible” for Gianluigi Buffon to face Roma on Saturday, admits Juventus Coach Massimiliano Allegri.

The goalkeeper has missed the last three matches with a muscular problem, and hasn’t been called-up for tomorrow’s Coppa Italia match with Genoa.

“We’re evaluating [Juan] Cuadrado day-by-day,” Allegri explained in his pre-match Press conference.

“Buffon definitely won’t train this week and it’s difficult - almost impossible - for him to be available for Roma.

“[Giorgio] Chiellini is available, he’s trained well so he could play tomorrow. I need to decide whether to play him or [Andrea] Barzagli.

“[Stephan] Lichtsteiner is back, he’s available, and I think he’ll play tomorrow.

“These are two difficult recoveries, both for De Sciglio and Mandzukic,” Allegri admitted.

“Mandzukic has had 13 stitches and De Sciglio has a problem with his flexor, and we’ll evaluate him in the coming days.

“It’s difficult for him to be available against Roma though.

Claudio Marchisio and Stefano Sturaro both sat out Juventus training this afternoon, but Mattia De Sciglio is back.

The Bianconeri beat Torino 2-0 in the Coppa Italia last night, and face Cagliari in the final match before the winter break.

Both Sturaro and Marchisio started last night, but had to be withdrawn with injury.

Today the Old Lady’s official website states that the latter has muscular fatigue, while Sturaro has severe bruising on his left knee and “both players will be evaluated tomorrow”.

Mattia De Sciglio was involved in part of the session, and could return to the bench for Saturday’s match.

Claudio does not seem able to go a full 90 at this point.

Hopefully he will be able to get back in form by the end of the season or if not by next season.

Buffon and Cuadrado who are both recovering well will follow a personalised training regime this week.
