Looking to buy a 16/17 B04 kit by Jako. Can anyone provide insight to how they fit/feel. I really like the 15/16 Adidas Climacool SIZE M Fit (love the tight fit, hate bagginess). Many thanks! Kev
I don't have mine yet so I can't say. Unfortunately, they weren't released yet when I was in Germany.
This projected starting 11 from the Bundesliga's website is awesome: http://www.bundesliga.com/en/news/B...ht-bayer-04-leverkusen-line-up-in-2016-17.jsp

If that Pohjanpalo kid keeps it up, Leverkusen will be alright. Likewise this also gives Brandt a chance to step up again in Bellarabi's place. That attacking front line had some good chemistry in the second half of the Saturday win vs HSV. Volland also returns soon from that hand injury.
Squandered a 2 goal lead to draw the match 2-2 As our manager puts it, "If at the end of the group stage, 2 points are missing, then we know where we have lost them" "If at the end of the group stage, 2 points are missing, then we know where we have lost them." - #Schmidt #B04CSKA pic.twitter.com/lua3HAiYDw— Bayer 04 Leverkusen (@bayer04_en) September 14, 2016
Leverkusen's defence was a let down today in the loss against Eintracht Frankfurt. Personally I blame those new kits. Chicharito missed a penalty, while Volland had a chance he should have converted as well. Kampl and Brandt looked good in this game though but still a lot needs work.
Having watched their games against CSKA and Monaco I am done for them for the season. How can you have such a weak mentality and give away two already won games? Imo the team is good enough, Boldt & Völler did their homework so it has to be either a cultural issue within the club or the coaching staff is at fault. Such a frustrating team to watch and that's not at all limited to the European stage. All those inconsistencies can also be found in their Bundesliga games which is why they are already trailing Bayern and Dortmund by a significant margin. Very disappointing development overall.
Agreed. Leverkusen have actually done some great work in building a squad that's deep, versatile, and talented and you see flashes of a team that could do more than just lock down third place and go to the R16 in the CL every season, but they always fail to make it past that ceiling. They're stuck in neutral, and, to be honest I don't think the answer's easy. If there had to be someone to pin the blame on, I'd pin it on Schmidt's overly aggressive gegenpressing scheme, which ultimately fails to allow Leverkusen to consistently control games IMO. But his tenure as manager has made Leverkusen a much better and more coherent outfit than they were under Hyppia, so I can't give him too much stick for it.
Let's hope it was not just a positive outlier. Leverkusen certainly had the better match-plan while Tuchel's men seemed unable or unwilling to match B04's physicality and effort.
Seems like an odd criticism coming from a Dortmund fan. If anything, I'd think you'd be sympathetic to an overly aggressive manager.
