I'd go with 4-4-2 against Atletico. Kroos-Modric-Case-Isco midfield and Morata/Asensio and Ron upfront. But most likely it will be Benz. :( Atletico doesn't have wingers like Bayern do. So just outplay them in midfield like we did at Calderon.

That might be so, but it's not what the man said.

Except Morata's movement and unselfish hold-up play played a role too.

Was wondering what his celebration is supposed to mean. Speaking of, I can't help but feel how Morata's goal celebration seems more pissed than happy. Like he knows it doesn't matter that he scored, because we all know who'll start the games that matter.

I see it as him saying my head in here. Like he isn't distracted and is fighting for the club and his place.

His wife said he still doesn't want to go. I believe he is fighting. It's admirable.

I watched the whole game. Except for a few things about the defense, we looked great. This attack was what we were waiting for all season. I can't wait to see Benzema and Bale gone. Jesus we could be deadly when all these people come of age!

Not enough praise for Nacho, well done my son. Another under appreciated faithful steward.

That was so refreshing. Everyone played great but Isco, Kovacic and Morata were incredible.

I've been critical of Isco for a while now but his form lately has been ridiculous, unbelievable he didn't get a minute in the Clasico. I don't see why he can't overtake Modric next season.

Kovacic is another who has deserved more minutes this season, love how his pace and monstrous runs can get him out of trouble in the midfield. Special player, I'll be disappointed if we sell or loan him this summer. He brings that unpredictability in midfield similar to Di Maria, very difficult to defend against.

Aside from his horrendous miss, Morata did everything asked of a 9 and did it very well. There's nothing Benzema offers over Morata at this point.

Morata's holdup play is quite good. Have heard some critiquing this aspect of his game but I'm not sure why. Also, he is the only forward we have other than Bale who can actually win balls in the air. Brings a lot, but as mentioned he always seems kinda pissed and I guess we can all speculate as to why. Hope he stays.

The squad camaraderie seems fantastic, and a lot of that is due to our Spanish/Castilla core. Let's nourish that chemistry.

Morata is all about the work rate, the goals will come but I'm more impressed by him taking goal kicks out of the air, holding the ball up and releasing to his teammates. Benzema never does that and Ronaldo won't even bother trying to get on the end of anything that isn't in front of goal. It makes a huge difference when the team is fighting for everything from all three lines.

Just got to watch this game, always enjoyable to watch this version of the team play, I don't care who they are playing, just refreshing

IMO in reference to the post quoted
For me the difference is simple, more intelligent movement in the front three, coupled with technical ability, always moving and creating spaces for the pass, they don't give the ball away as much, it don't think it's Modric or Kroos who are too static, I think it's the front three who who don't move well enough to give them passing options, different kind of players really.
Completely agree, no matter the opposition
would be fine, just as long as everyone does not "have" to find him for the final ball, anyone can shoot once they are in a good position, and (as he has been showing recently) that he will pass to others who might be in a better position to score, if so then that would be dangerous for other teams as far as our attack is concerned although we would still lose a little on the defence compared to this lineup, 10 defending together is still better than 9 , a 1 player difference is still a difference.

Damn Ray Hudson inlove with Kovačič :D and we can fully understand, yes he struggle to play in Casemiro role but at this moment even Lukita seems a littbe bit off and Mateo could do even better.
