If you can tear yourself away from the big Champions League match today, Fulham v. Bolton will be airing on FSC+ (and foxsoccer.tv) at 3pm. A win will guarantee safety for Fulham (though I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if 39 points ends up being good enough).
Murphy and Zamora should be fit, but Duff is still doubtful with his Achilles problem From the Beeb: Fulham • Fulham are the only Premier League club yet to concede a goal from a penalty this season. The only one they gave away was missed by Manchester United's Nani back in August. • Damien Duff is one goal away from scoring 50 in the Premier League. He would become the third Irishman to reach this milestone after Robbie Keane and Niall Quinn. • If Clint Dempsey scores, he will equal the club record for most Premier League goals by a single player. Brian McBride and Steed Malbranque lead the way with 32 each.
This appears to be the Fulham lineup tonight. Schwarzer, Baird, Hangeland, Hughes, Salcido, Davies, Sidwell, Murphy, Dempsey, Dembele, Gudjohnsen. Bobby is on the bench with a slight back problem. No Sturridge for Bolton.
Because the Premier League table is so bunched up, the financial stakes for these last few games are very high. A win today would push Fulham from 13th place to 9th. In terms of post-season prize money, that would be roughly $5 million.
we are probably all going to hell if we are watching this game above barca-real.....but it is what it is.
Too late for me to take this back? Dempsey assisted Gudjohnsen for a tremendous close-range chance, and he shanked it. Earlier, Dempsey did well to dribble and shoot through the defenders legs, but the keeper blocked it out for a corner. Still 0-0
or if you're a good multi-tasker, can always watch BOTH games! ie, one on TV and one on the computer.
