#LAGalaxy and #CrewSC remain engaged in trade talks for Ola Kamara, per league sources. A package of Gyasi Zardes, allocation money and a draft pick has been discussed, but deal would have to be agreed upon before Friday's draft. #MLS— Paul Tenorio (@PaulTenorio) January 17, 2018 Looks like we can almost close a door that we have no clue if it was ever open in the first place.
What would DC United want with a forward who scores goal but does not play defense. That does not fit into Ashton's scheme.
2-8-0 is going to be one hell of a lineup! Thankfully we have 9 MF for backup and 4 other GK to come in for D
Good news, imo - I'd rather go into 2018 with the strikers we have than to mortgage something to get Kamara from CLB - he's just not worth it to me. edit: or end up with Zardes
What lies? All I've ever heard was that we would get refunds for any home matches not at Audi Field and that we would first access to those matches.
Until he puts pen to paper with another team there's still a chance How do I wash this thought out of my brain? *shudder*
this is the email they proactively sent out before Goff published the article about alternate home venues: says we won’t be charged and we get first dibs on buying tickets for the 2 games. never mentions being included would’ve posted whole email so you can see it’s just not random text but it said the full phone screenshot was too big in size
953813125249355776 is not a valid tweet id Possible sign and trade? Rosell is subject to the allocation order, and I could see us making a trade to get assets.
That would have made sense prior to us getting Junior Moreno. Now? Not sure why we would go after him with Moreno, Canouse, and Durkin vying for the #6 role.
DC needs a forward with speed/quickness that is willing and able to shoot and score. Perhaps Francis Atuahene could be that guy? Go Blue! http://mgoblue.com/news/2018/1/18/mens-soccer-mls-bound-atuahene-i-will-be-forever-grateful.aspx
He projects more as a winger at the pro level. He's also likely to go #1 or #2, and he'll require an international slot. My best guess is we go with either Toye or Mueller if we select a player, but it is far more likely that we trade down and pick up assets (international slot, GAM, and/or extra picks).
D.C. United has traded No. 3 overall draft pick to Los Angeles FC for $200,000 worth of allocation money. DCU doesn't have a second-rounder. So quiet draft day unless club acquires a pick. Which seems unlikely given the talent pool. #mls— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) January 19, 2018 100k gam, 100k tam— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) January 19, 2018
Depends fully on what we do with it. If we don't pick up a forward, this offseason is a fail. If we do, it could be a good offseason. Goff's article a few days ago was worrying.
