D.C. United vs. Colorado Rapids 2018 MLS Regular Season — Week 22 Audi Field — Washington July 28 - 8 pm ET WATCH: ESPN+, MLS LIVE on DAZN (Canada) TGIF, earthlings. A few questions to ponder: Can D.C. United halt their slide into futility? Will Audi Field sell out? Will Rooney start? Will the team show grit? All of these questions and more will be known at the appropriate time and place. Discuss.
As far as futility, we've slid to the bottom and scraped our asses raw on the way down. Dante only needed 10 rings to describe hell, why do we need more? Will Rooney finish? I'm not sure Audi field has been certified by the Coast Guard as having an adequate number of lifeboats to support a full sellout. And so close to the Titanic Monument too. Grit sounds so much like shit maybe Ben needs to enunciate his desires better. This season could be just a miscommunication Don't forget D&D calling the game on the station formerly known as News Channel 8. Will Lindsey ever be seen or heard from again?
Since I am assured above that Colo is as bad as we are, I think we win this game - if they're even a tiny bit better, we lose by 2. We seem to play offensively/on the front foot when we play teams we think we can beat, and lo and behold we play them well (because we play better that way). When we think we're in for a challenge, we sit back and suck refried donkey balls. So, let's hope the braintrust thinks we have a shot in this game and we play like the first home game and not like the second home game. DCU - 4 Colo - 2 We won't end the season with a final positive record in the new stadium, but this game will temporarily have us 2-1 there. Even though we will lose the majority I still hope to maintain the positive attitude to be able to predict a win in pre-game threads for almost all of them
I expect to pay a metric shit ton of money to take the water taxi to the game. I expect the beer from the "7 Eleven" type vendor on the south end to be cold (it does sit in a refrigerated case). I expect to have wonder sight lines from my seats in Sec. 126. I expect to mutter "Brillant you suck" at least half a dozen times. I expect there will be a result in this match. Other than that, I have no expectations for Saturday night.
Don't forget to fantasize at least once that Clint Peay or Thor Lee are available to replace Brilliant. Maybe a hint that the falling railing just may not have been the accident it appeared to be and unlucky events find lazy players at Audi field. OK I'm watching too many subtitled Italian gangster shows on MHZ Choice
See? You stumbled on the secret of Hefner's Playboy empire. Parenthetically, I was the only one who ever bought it for the articles.
If Olsen doesn't have the faith to start Robinson somewhere in the backline, after the past couple of dismal outings for our defense, then maybe we should cut him. Something HAS to change in the back, and he's one of the few non-injured options we have. Three games in eight days seems like a perfect reason to give Clark a start, as well. This is the type of game we absolutely have to have if we want to be in shouting range of the playoffs (why are you laughing?). The Red Bulls are a good team -- they'll get road points against the sixth and seventh place teams on occasion. But the Rapids are legitimately poor, earning almost an identical points per game as us, and are as bad on the road as we are.
Let us know how this works out. This looks like a good option for me from Alexandria, but no where near a Metro stop
Robinson looked very good and very fast at Soccerplex earlier this season. I assumed he was injured, hence Fisher.
"South" Denver? (neither here nor there as far as the game goes, obviously, but I just didn't get the reference.)
I have no idea which direction the stadium is from downtown Denver. It was the crack of ass this morning, I’ve never been there, etc. Is it West Denver? North Denver?
