I wonder how much having the spare man at the back with Williams in there is helping him just go win the ball without fear of being beaten. We've been wondering about this three-at-the-back thing since it first came up and how it might play out, but so far, so good.
Solid point. Crognale looked pretty shaky playing in our usual 4-2-3-1 with mensah against charleston in preseason.
Also, on the replay of the PK from behind the goal, Hamid looked like he almost wasn't even ready by a fraction of a second, like he was still loosening up when he should've already been locked in. It doesn't look that way though when you see it from behind Higuain. Just an observation.
Higuain is still a turnover machine. Crognale is solid so far. Glad we got the PK but Unkel doesn't seem to be having a good match. We seem to be benefitting more but that could easily change. Nervous about that.

I've seen nothing wrong with the officiating. Could you give some examples? Team looked good. Solid in the back. Finishing still an issue, but at least things seem more fluid. First 20 mins were definitely better than the last 20, minus the penalty of course.
Naess can be a bit too adventurous on the ball for my liking as a center back, it'll cost him at some point but he's got away with it tonight. From what I've seen in the first two and a half games, Raitala gives us a quiet steadiness at the full back position that I like. Looks like a good signing.
I don't understand why Olsen has Nyarko on the left and Sam on the right. Sam scored against us last year from the left turning onto his right foot last season, and Nyarko always looked useful as a flying winger down the right in his time at Chicago. Just flip them.
Yeah, i like what i see from him. Still raw undoubtedly, but his drive, mobilty, and aggressiveness are all excellent.
