Hmm, we're off topic but I disagree. Maybe it's just my skewed perspective but he seemed to lose motivation somehow. Didn't play with the same intensity.

He might've just had a lower ceiling (or soccer IQ) than I thought after his 1st year.

Mario's was a better sliding tackle, but Jaime's was more embarrassing to the keeper :D

We always suspected he might have some long-term injury because his athleticism seemed to diminish so much after the first couple years. Coupled with the fact that young players seem to plateau or regress at DC United.

Not too long ago it was clear Nicky had gotten rather corpulent for a soccer player, and that must have affected his play. I think he has slimmed down, but he's not recaptured his early promise IMO.

He looked real doughy this preseason but Ben didn’t give his guy the Halsti treatment.

I dunno what's more embarrassing? Walking into a old ladies home with your fly unzipped or walking in with your fly unzipped and no one notices?
I liked Mario's only because everyone could see him lurking back here waiting to pounce and the crowd fell silent to avoid warning Hartman. At least that's what I remembered.

How could you hate a person with a DC United tattoo? It's impossible. I hope Deleon becomes head coach when Olsen retires.

Easy. If he's a lock to start when healthy regardless of his skill/form for the team.

I don't hate him but he should only see the field if he merits it.

That was a great game. And it was hot as ******** out. I was late, pulled into Lot 8 and heard that the Metros had scored first (it was Gaven IIRC). Got to my seat and it was on like Donkey Kong. 6-2 final. Earnie Stewart's nutmeg goal was sweet.
