I should have said MLS, I doubt anyone in this league could cross over that afternoon and start for RMA
That's what ZaZa was thinking? <iframe width="854" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/sig9Eojn-Lc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
You know, I watched that match start almost to finish, until that run(?) up when I held my hands to my eyes knowing he would blow it. I hear that limp assed runup is the opener for every Viagra ad aired in Italy
50% (2 of 4). Surprisingly, not the worst in the league. Orlando is 0 for 1 and Vancouver is 1 for 4. I'll renew my call to have Birdbomb take the penalties.
Up until 3 days ago we could all say the same for Neagle As usual, it's just people overreacting because he got saved.. Get over it. Next man up..
Save for the fact that Neagle has been crap for a while now. Many have complained. It isn't like he is over performing and needs a little boost to turn on the tap. He is shit. Making a PK may make him feel worse as it is basically charity - polishing the turd if you will. You need the in form and at or above game players to take the PKs. Not some guy who we all question wether or not he should be on the field. That's all on coaching. A naive coach thinks the PK is the cure for what ails when it isn't. James
There is no such thing, although I admit that Acosta may be as close as you'll get on this team. His measly 4 goals is light years ahead of everyone else on the team.
My oldest son played on a MD select team (coached by Keith Tabatznik, prior to his stint at Georgetown U.), and whenever a match was to be decided by PKs they inserted a benchwarmer who never played more than a minute during a match. He never missed a PK in three years, but he couldn't do anything else.
Shit. If you repeat this story you will have people here agitating for a rule change to allow a designated PK taker, just like the American League.
He followed the rules by being inserted about one minute before full time. But he only came on to do his PK thing.
When I finished high school, I was a sometimes starter, but I was on our PK list and would've been subbed in right before the end of the match if I wasn't for a shootout. Point is, Neagle probably shows the best on PKs in training and that's enough for the staff to give him their full confidence. If you watch carefully, you can see Ben mouthing the phrase, "I do believe our good friend Lamar has failed to exceed expectations in this, the year of our Lord, two-thousand-seventeen."
