So Ospina didn't play against Parma which is understandable considering the number of matches to play within a 10 day period. Juventus and Liverpool are next in Serie A and Champions League respectfully. Think Ospina will shine in these matches coming up? First real tests this season.
Maybe he will shine against Juve. But against Liverpool? That team is one of the best attacking teams on the planet right now if not the best. I have little hopes for that one but we shall see.
Damn Napoli is getting destroyed. That red card especially didn't make things better after being down a goal.
I don't think you can blame him in the first two goals. He had zero defence there. The third goal I would say 50/50 but surely not a game to blame him. Either way, the toughest game of the season.
CR7’s shot bounces like a meter in front of Ospina and speeds up. Extremely difficult shot to stop and unlucky bounce after it.... https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6ugd4z
I don't think this goal is his fault per se. He made the save but he didn't have strong hands to push it past the post, not a mistake really but the top goalies will push it past the post. The reaction to get down with Ronaldo having such a quick release and going the other way isn't easy to anticipate.
And I was totally wrong. It was the other way around. I did not watch the game but a shutout against Liverpool is impressive
*tack he didn't get credited with a single save to be fair. Wasn't really tested at all, had one tackle that is shown in that shot above.
So it was just a dominant performance by Napoli. Gotta give credit to Ancelotti then. Glad he was on the field for one of their best performances of the season even if he was not tested.
Yeah Liverpool got completely dominated, worst game for them in a while. 4 shots from that team with basically their A squad is really impressive for Napoli.
Give the guy a break. Ramos tore his arm off, it will take a few months to regain last season's form.
He was in "the zone" at the end of last season. When you are back from an injury, even completely fit, the timing is not the same and it could take a while to get to the same level. But true, now more teams are aware of him, so he'll find less spaces.
Gotta give it up to the coach for sticking with him. Kind of funny that the two bench Gks of Arsenal are the starters of Napoli and Juve
Noticed he wasn't starting. Then I just remembered champions league is next week~ Then again, it's PSG....
