Rather a shit top 4 team so he has to deal with having 20 shots a game Napoli is a bad option he won’t start. Tho still pissed the Polish guy he benched got loaned started at Roma now might start at Juve
I always get a bit concerned when a new manager comes in after a good one goes out. There may be tactical changes in the back that everyone has to get used to and goals may be the consequence of that. Ospina would probably be the scapegoat at Napoli. But I could be looking at it pessimistically.
We need to stop giving excuses for Ospina, he needs to make the right decision and go somewhere where he gets to start and he needs to survive in the fire, he's taken the easy way out and been comfortable sitting on the bench for what 4 years now? Its his own choices that put him there, he's at an age and experience level where he needs to be tested constantly and he needs to deal with the adversity, the more the better imo.
I am not sure Napoli is the best destination for him. But if he goes there and starts and they play well I will be very happy.
It might not be, my point is he needs to get a commitment that he's at minimum going to be given the starting spot if he makes the move, if not I'll blame him. Reina is a solid goalie but he's 35 and in decline, if Ospina can't beat out another 35+ goalie then its on him and at minimum on his ambition if he goes to a club without being given the chance to be the starter at first at least.
You are 100% correct. Sadly I feel Ospina is happy with his steady/healthy paycheck. Otherwise he would have made that transfer request 3 years ago. Knock on wood he ends up somewhere where he is the everyday starter.
If Courtois leaves Chelsea, maybe they can make a move for Ospina? If Ospina can't start over Willy Caballero, then he deserves a career as a backup.
Ospina’s career in England is heavily tarnished. Also would be quite the let down replace Courtois with Ospina. No offense to David but...

Their new signing broke their arm and despite having 2 other keepers they opt to sign Ospina for a year. If anything this is a good chance for Ospina to get solid playing time for the Copa America. I doubt that he'll not be involved in any of the matches...then again, maybe not the first one since he's getting there in a few hours and has to settle in.
Why did they bring Ospina to the game? He should be settling in before even being on the bench. He's been there for like what, a couple of days physically?
Wait so they didn't already have 3 GKs in their squad before Ospina came? Very odd. I thought that Ospina came because they needed a higher quality GK given that their first choice was hurt.
Yes, those aren't mutually exclusive. The starter who is young is hurt, the backup who is bad Karnezis started today, Ospina was brought in to be the starter while the young guy is hurt. Last seasons starter Pepe Reina was sold to Milan.
