Ospina needs to leave Arsenal, Cech is playing like shit this season but Ospina isn't going to oust him and we are going to go into the World Cup with a goalie somewhat out of form who isn't getting games to turn it around. Sad really, he should at minimum push for a loan to play somewhere.
The europa league and the current league cup can help but yeah unless Cech gets injured, Ospina won't get enough playing time.

Yeah Cech has had a bad season, if Ospina hasn't gotten the gloves over him in the league in the next couple games pretty clear nothing will change. So annoying that Ospina has accepted the back up role on a shitty team, really wish he had some competition on the NT, would push him to leave or at minimum keep him on his toes.
To be fair, Cech's contract, which had plenty of guarantees, put him in a tough spot. Wenger also probably filled his ear. I would love to se him out of there as well. Arsenal has been imploding for years and it's only getting worse.

And Wenger still won't play Ospina. Wenger has his favorites and will give them unlimited chances, not a good look for a guy trying to get into the squad. Dude is 35 and fell off a cliff last year, but Ospina still doesn't get a chance to be the #1.
We'll have to see what happens. The number of times that Ospina has given up a goal in the cup matches yet Wenger kept him on regardless. Cech is no different in this situation for league games.
Befor Cech arrived, Ospina had wrestled the starting role fair and square from Szcezny and he was posting better numbers than most keepers on EPL. While I concede that David's form right now is far from ideal, keep in mind that a. nobody in this team (possible exception of Alexis) is performing at a decent level, and b. when Cech joined Arsenal he was no longer the dependable keeper he used to be. IOW, by back stabbing the starting keeper he had found, Wegener ended up with two shaky goalies. Hopefully David can find a team where he has a fair chance for the starting spot or Cech retires/moves and leaves the door open.
Looks like another transfer window is gone and Ospina is stuck at Arsenal for the rest of the season. Did he even put in a request? How much of transfer (loan or permanent) is up to the player vs forces beyond a player’s control ? I’m posing this as a question not a criticism. I just find it so hard to believe that no team would want him as a starting GK.
