Glad to see you back, mate. I thought that you were going to be lost after Aarhus relegation.

Is there any site (danish or whatever) that has all this years transfers? Or you can enlighten us? As i saw, Brondby hasnt made any transfers at all!

    Cheers

Since we always get some of the best transfers very late in the transfer window, I'm always waiting a few weeks more for the final transfer update, but you can have a preview here.... it's not really 100% correct, since especially some loan deals and own youth players who have been promoted are missing, but it will give you a clue :

    http://www.bold.dk/transfers/?league=1

FC København were quick to make all their major transfers it seems, while Brøndby so far have done little to nothing. They do seem very close to signing the Brazilian forward "Bruno Batata" (Bruno Fressato Cardoso ) ... OB Odense are also still looking for a few replacements (especially one for Jonas Troest ), but as it is the case for most of the Danish clubs, they are waiting to finalize some deals, first selling some players to foreign clubs and then using the $$ to sign some replacements, which is why the danish transfer market always get very hectic towards the very end of the transfer window.

... Perhaps I should add, that Danish top clubs are also waiting for the top-4 leagues to finalize their deals, so that they are ready to perhaps make a scoop, if ther are some very good "leftovers" from the big leagues they can pick up fairly "cheap", at the end of the transfer window.

I don't think Børndby will be very active. They might load off a fringe player or too, but as their head of the board/dictator Per Bjerregaard has announced that he thinks, that they only lack a striker in order to play for the gold medal. It might be Bruno Batata, but reports from Brøndbyfans is that he is too much like Martin Bernburg, their other starstriker.

One of the players might leaving is Stefan Gislason, that returns from loan on August 1st.

If Brøndby is too buy another player, it requires a first team player to be sold. Apart from Samuel Holmen, i really don't see others being sold.

But as Ceres writes, a lot of smaller clubs are waiting. Only the two top teams OB and Copenhagen has been active yet and both teams seem like they are finish or almost finish shopping.

    Lineups and match stats

The Danish Champions FC København really struggled in the first 45 minutes against SønderjyskE, but they still managed to secure the win by a more offensive approach from the start of the 2nd half, replacing midfielder Hjalte Bo Nørregaard in favor of César Sántin, plus a helping hand with two gift-wrapped owngoals by the home team and a huge drop by SønderjyskEs newly signed keeper Nathan Coe. So by the look of this match, SønderjyskE have not had a lucky hand on the transfer market this summer, because they surely missed Sölvi Ottesen and David Ousted in defense and it's safe to say that SønderjyskE could only blame themself for this defeat, though it should be said that the visitors looked much better in the 2nd half and produced some good opportunities, especially by Dame N'Doye who saw two of his attempts hit the SønderjyskE woodwork. But the fact of the matter still is, that FCK did need a helping hand to get away with all 3 points in this match.

    OB Odense v Esbjerg fB, 3-0 (1-0)

    2-0 Hans Henrik Andreasen (76)
    3-0 Rurik Gislason (90)
    Attendance: 8,522

    Lineups and match stats

Esbjerg were greatly troubled by injuries in central defense, missing both Thomas Gaardsøe and Nicolai Høgh, though they were still able to keep up with Odense in the first 15 minutes of the first and second half, but in between, and after the 2nd OB goal, it was Odense dominating the majority of this match, so ther is not much to say about the result. It was the two nwly signed Henrik Toft (providing the assist) and Andreas Johansson producing the first goal of the match for Odense, while last seasons Superliga top scorer Peter Utaka misused a few good opportunities... For the visitors from Esbjerg, it was their Dutch top scorer Tim Janssen being ruled offside and wasting their biggest opportunity to keep them in this match in the 2nd half, he misused a one-on-one with OB keeper Roy Carroll, while a cross by Jeppe Mehl hit the Odense top bar. Instead the visitors suddenly found themself trailing two goal behind, This "last nail in the coffin" was a nice header, well assisted by Johan Absalonsen who impressed in this match.

    2-2 Michael Krohn-Dehli (pen.) (71)

    Attendance: 6,671

    Lineups and match stats

While the Silvermedalists from Odense got a perfect start to this season, last seasons Bronze winners Brøndby IF lost their first match in Randers.. and an intense and entertaining match it was I may add. Each team produced 20 attempts or so, most of them in the 2nd half, with Brøndby having most posession, while Randers were relying on some quick counter attacks and due to some excellent goalkeeping by the new Randers keeper David Ousted, it was the home team that got away with all 3 points, though the defending was far from impressive by either of the two teams and the result could have gone both ways. But as written, then the Randers keeper got a fairly good debut, dispite the penalty he made and then the Randers forwards and wingers,Berg, Beckmann and Yura Movsisyan were just looking that much sharper, even considering that Movsisyan has been injured of lately and only got to play the last 45 minutes.

    Lineups and match stats

FC Nordsjællands Nicki Bille became top scorer at the big U21 Toulon tournament this summer, so several scouts and agents were in place to watch him play in the first Superliga round of this season, and they hardly got disappointed with what they saw, because besides the two goals he scored, Nicki Bille was also looking good in this entertaining match. According to his agent, FCN have btw rejected an offer on Bille, because they do not really want to sell, unless they get an offer so big that they cant refuse. As for this match, then Silkeborg were totally run over by an excellent playing FCN team, with especially Nicki Bille but also Kildentoft and Stokholm being the Stars of this match.

    Lineups and match stats

Newly promoted AC Horsens seemed a bit "rusty" and too slow for the Superliga in this match, which is quite understandable, considering that they played 1. Division last season. Perhaps they were thinking that it would be easier to adjust to a higher level, since most of their players have plenty of Superliga experience, but it still takes some time to adapt when you have been playing 2nd level the past year . The visitors simply looked sharper and more cynical in attack, even considering that they got the young defender Erik Sviatchenko sent off early in the 2nd half... Not surprisingly it it was the most scoring Superliga player, "dangerous" Frank, scoring the two goals for the visitors.

Also the last game of this round became highly entertaining. Newly promoted Lyngby were in big problems defensively, but looked very good in attack, while the visitors from Aalborg didnt look too solid in defense either, but were just that bit sharper looking in attack, especially young Ronnie Schwartz who made a hat-trick, while Kasper Bøgelund saved the AaB team defensively a few times in the 2nd half, but also some of the young Lyngby players deserve some praise. Brian Hamalainen deliver some razor sharp and excellent crosses and corner kicks, while especially Lasse Rise had some nice long range attempts on target.

The Superliga has come off to a flying start, and after a fairly boring World Cup, assistant NT coach Peter Bonde has praised this first round of the Superliga, and especially FCN, for playing some nice attacking minded and entertaining football of better quality than last season Superliga... and fact is, that ther has never been scored this many goals in a first round of the Superliga ever, so no doubt an entertaining start to this season.

    ^Thanks!

Well well, football is so unpredictable game. AC Horsens - Midtjylland. TV2 clip shows that Horsens had few very good chances to score, it was so close! Bad luck indeed! Pity for the ACH :( On the otherhand, I think that FCM is one of the biggest challengers to top5 in this season. They played stunning spring in last season.

    Superliga 2010/11, round 2 (of 33) :

Team of the week according to Danish TV 2 Sport :
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6oCNPVf9l8"]YouTube- Rundens Hold (Runde 2)[/ame]
    or TV2 Sport

Lössl (FCM) - Pospech (FCK), Schlebrügge (Brøndby), Albrechtsen (FCM), Wendt (FCK) - Claudemir (FCK), M. Jensen (Brøndby), Lorentzen (Randers), Rise (Lyngby) - N'Doye (FCK), Sántin (FCK).
    ----

    Esbjerg fB v FC København, 1-2 (0-1)
    0-1 César Sántin (23)
    0-2 Martin Vingaard (71)
    1-2 Kevin Conboy (75)
    Attendance: 7,612

    Lineups and match details

Like in their match against Odense, Esbjerg looked rather good the first 15 minutes of this match, but FCK defended well, so the last ball never really became that big a threat... and as the match progressed, FCK took control and also produced some leathal counter attacking, which paid off in the 23th minute, with Claudemir making an excellent chip pass to fellow Brazilian César Sántin, who could hardly miss the one-on-one with the Esbjerg keeper, so it was no doubt a good debut for Claudemir who played well for the visitors and especially seem to work well with Sántin. In any case, the visitors were clearly dominating up until the 75th minute when Esbjerg left back Kevin Conboy fired an excellent and unstoppable long-range shot past the helpless FCK keeper Johan Wiland. The goal seemed to shake up the FCK team, while the young Esbjerg team were doing their best to grab atleast one point if possible, but again the FCK defense managed to stand in the way and prevent the last ball from being a real threat, though last seasons Esbjerg top scorer Tim Janssen did come close at the very end of the match.

    OB Odense v Randers FC, 1-1 (0-0)
    1-0 Hans Henrik Andreasen (77)
    1-1 Mikkel Cramer (89)
    Attendance: 10,617

    Lineups and match details

It was surprisingly the visitors from Randers who had the upper hand in the first 45 minutes of this match, perhaps because they are slightly more match fit, having played Europa League qualifiers. The Odense players on the other hand looked too slow and did not really have that physical advantage they are known for, so it was Randers producing the big opportunities, producing no less than 4 attempts on the Odense woodwork in this match. However, if the Odense players lack some match fitness they on the other hand have much more depth to their squad than the visitors, which clearly showed in the 2nd half, when the Randers players became more tired and Odense replaced newly signed Andreas Johansson and a poorly playing Demba-Nyrén, with the two quite different and more physical strong players Kalilou Traoré (who got his Superliga debut) and Henrik Toft, who both made an impact straight away, which also lead to more Randers mistakes in defense and a goal by a very nice header... So you should never say never regarding Odense, no matter how much in trouble they semm to be, because they are always able to make some tactical changes and strike back.

However, just as it looked like a sure but not very deserved Randers defeat, a very tired and cramped up Alexander Fischer was replaced with the young talent Mikkel Cramer, which showed to be a brilliant tactical move by the Randers coach. The only 18-yo defender has managed to score no less than 3 goals in two Europa League qualifiers against ND Gorica from Slovenia this season and also managed to sceure a well deserved draw for the visitors in Odense, in the very last minutes of this match. Not really what you would expect from natural defender, but on a day when the the Randers forwards and midfielders had trouble getting the ball past a well playing Odense keeper Roy Carroll, not to forget the Odense woodwork, then they can only be happy they got young Cramer to do the job :D ..

The strong Odense key midfielder Eric Djemba-Djemba was btw withdrawn from the squad for this match against Randers, according to the Odense coach because the club had allowed him to travel abroad, for "personal reasons", though the fact of the matter seem that he is set to arrive in England to finalise the move to West Bromwich Albion. The odense coach did not want to reveal anything about the mysterious trip to England, except that he said they will deal with the problem of finding a proper replacemet in case thy can no longer make use of Djemba-Djemba ... Since he was an absolute key player for Odense last season and still has two years left og his contract, it's quite clear that the English newspapers have greatly misinterpretated that he is to join West Bromwich on a free transfer. Odense would of course never let one of their key players go, unless they got a very good offer.

    0-2 Mike Jensen (34)
    Ousman Jallow,Brøndby (90+3) [IMG]
    Attendance: 8,815

    Lineups and match details

A rather boring tactical match, though it was still fairly intense and high paced, with Brøndby being highly efficient in the first half, While AaB were looking rather toothless through out the match. Strangely enough Brøndby took over after the match had been paused by the referee in the first half, due to some trouble with their supporters, as you also can see in the TV2 Sport highlights below. Then came the two quick Brøndby goals that finished off a home team that never really managed to recover. Just as the match was about to end and the visitors were sure to get all 3 points, Brøndby striker Ousman Jallow was sent off due to a pointless and ruthless foul against AaB keeper Karim Zaza.

This weekend Brøndby btw signed the 25-yo Brazilian forward Bruno Fressato Cardoso, better known as Bruno Batata, on a 1-year loan deal from Brazilian side Corinthians Paranaense. Bruno Batata played 22 games and scored 4 goals in the Brazilian league last season, when he was on loan at Coritiba Foot Ball Club. The loan-fee has not been disclosed.

    1-0 Danny Olsen (Pen.) (61)
    2-0 Ken Ilsø (71)
    Attendance: 5,515

    Lineups and match details

After an even first 45 minutes, it was the home team taking control and dominating most of the 2nd half.. and though it was a clumsy penalty against former Danish international Martin Albrechtsen that gave FCM the lead, it was not surprisingly Ken Ilsø finishing the opponents off, since Ilsø was involved in most of the better opportunities for FCM, while Rajko Lekic was not quite as big a threat for Silkeborg in this match, so in the end it was a deserved 2-0 win for the home team in a not all too entertaining match.

    1-1 Anders Østli (70)
    1-2 Søren Frederiksen (75)
    Attendance: 3,307

    Lineups and match details

After a slow start by the home team, the FCN coach replaced right winger Tobias Mikkelsen in the 37th minute with young Andreas Laudrup who was one of few FCN players who could be happy about his own performance in this match. But in all honesty, SønderjyskE put up a very good tactical, physical and defensive fight as usual, disrupting the nice short passing, that FCN would like to play, so even though FCN managed to score the first goal of the match, the visitors were quick to reply and make use of some defensive mistake by the home team, though it should be said, that the FCN players were strongly appealing for offside at the last SønderjyskE goal by Søren Frederiksen. But all-in-all it was a deserved win for the visitors. It may not be that pretty to watch, but tactically it was a perfect match by SønderjyskE.

    Martin Spelmann,Horsens (29) [IMG]
    1-0 Kim Aabech (Pen.) (29)
    Attendance: 1,907

    Lineups and match details

It was perhaps not surprisingly a very low paced match between the two newly promoted teams and of course it did not add to the quality of the match that the visitors from Horsens got midfielder Martin Spelmann sent off in the 29th minute. Spelmann was given a straight red card for a last-man foul on Lyngby striker Kim Aabech, who then also was able to convert the penalty, which became the only goal of the match. Aabech was btw one of the few player worth watching in this match, along with Lasse Rise and the only 19-yo Lyngby AM/F Emil Larsen.... Of course ther was little Horsens could do in the 2nd half except taking a cautious approach and mainly rely on set pieces, in hope of scoring a goal that just never came, while Lyngby were just happy passing the ball around in midfield, as you also can see in the highlights below.

    ----

Esbjerg have really had a horrible start to this season, that actually remind quite a bit about Randers last season, since Esbjerg is a fairly good team, but it's also easy to see, that they are greatly troubled in defense, because both their key centre backs, Thomas Gaardsøe and Nicolai Høgh have been missing due to injuries, which tactically strong Superliga teams of course are quick to exploit, especially a team like SønderjyskE. Another problem for Esbjerg is, that their Dutch top scorer Tim Janssen, perhaps is having a small down period and lack some sharpness at the moment, just like the rest of the team. Their match against SønderjyskE was actually quite entertaining and Esbjerg did produce big opportunities, but they just lacked the needed sharpness, while SønderjyskE on the other hand had good help by their new Australian keeper Nathan Coe and also were quick to take advantage of Esbjergs defensive problems. If Esbjerg have been the big negative surprise so far, then you could say the opposite about SønderjyskE, because it's the first time ever they have managed to win 2 of 3 games in the first 3 rounds of the Superliga.

Randers surprisingly lost at home to Lausanne-Sport in the Europa League last week and they were also fairly easily defeated at home by a better playing FC Nordsjælland and Nicolai Stokholm in this 3rd round of the Superliga, but Randers seem close to signing a reinforcement, since the former Brøndby and Arminia Bielefeld winger Jonas Kamper is now rumoured to the club.

Danish Champions FC København are not surprisingly at the top of the league, though FCK had trouble breaking down the AaB defense and were in need of a questionable penalty to hold the visitors to a draw in a quite well played and entertaining match... FCK just sold thier brazilian striker Ailton Almeida to APOEL FC, but do not seem in a hurry to find a replacement, if you ask their director of Sport, who seem to think they rather need a new midfieler/winger. Perhpas they are also soon going to need a new left back, since the reliable rumour is, that they are very close to selling Oscar Wendt to Italian Serie A side Bologna.

Last seasons Silvermedelist OB Odense and the Bronze winners from Brøndby did not impress in this round. Odense lost at Casa Arena to newly promoted Horsens in a tough fight with several injured players as a result, while it was also more by fight than good play when Brøndby managed to secure a slim 1-0 victory at home against FC Midtjylland, also thanks to young Jens Stryger Larsen who also scored for Brøndby in last weeks Superliga win in Aalborg and now also has been "promoted" to the Danish U21 NT. : http://www.bold.dk/nyt/Broendby-helt-paa-U21-landsholdet

    Re: Danish Superliga 2010/11 [R]

    Superliga 2010/11, round 4 (of 33) :

FC København won 3-2 in Odense and seem to be heading directly for yet another Danish Championship. They havent really impressed so far this season, but they still manage to get results, unlike their main rivals from Odense, who have had a horrible start to this season and also lacked the last bit of luck in this highly entertaining top clash. It was Odense dominating and playing ther best match in a long time, but FCK were just much more efficient and cynical and then FCK seem to have made an absolut scoop, when they signed the Brazilian midfielder Claudemir this summer. He has really impressed so far and also made the assist for the last goal of the match. Though both FCK and OB should be worried a bit about the sloppy defending we have seen from both teams so far in the Danish Superliga as well as in the Europa Cups.

The last time Esbjerg lost their first 3 league games of the season was in 1967... 43 years ago... and by adding yet another loss in round 4 at home to FCM, it has become their biggest crisis ever. Ther is no doubt that it is mainly injury problems in central defense and lack of sharpness in attack that is to blame, since they do play fairly well in midfield and produce big opportunities, but just dont seem to be able to score goals at the moment, while both their key centre backs are missing due to injuries, leaving some big holes in defense, which was also the case in this round against FC Midtjylland. So ther was little else Esbjerg could do but to act quickly on the transfer market and especially find an experienced defender, which they now have done by signing a 1-year contract with the 29-yo Swedish centre back Fredrik Risp... Esbjerg btw also lack the last bit of luck, since the referee had just disallowed a header by Esbjergs new Icelandic striker Arnór Smárason, when the most scoring Superliga player, "dangerous" Frank made it 1-0 for the visitors only a few moments later.

Randers Star player Mikkel Beckmann was injured early in first half, when he quite deliberately was fouled from behind by Horsens captain Niels Lodberg who perhaps should praise himself lucky that he was not sent off. It's difficult to say when Beckmann will be fit for fight, but it didnt change the fact that Randers were clkearly dominating and producing the big opportunities in the first 45 minutes. In the 2nd half the pace and quality of play dropped and Horsens were able to look better, but both teams lacked some sharpness in attack, so in the end they held each other to a goalless draw.... Also AaB Aalborg and Silkeborg held each other to a goalless draw in a horrible boring match, that dont really deserve a match report.

FC Nordsjælland did a good job but were eliminated by Sporting CP in the Europa League 3rd qualifying round last week, but now Brøndby get the opportunity to show if they can do better in the Europa League play-off against the very same opponent, but first FCN and Brøndby were to show who are the better side in the Superliga in this 4th round ... and as also expected, it was evidently Brøndby being the sharper looking side, beating FCN 3-1 away.

FC København and especially Dame N'Doye seem unstoppable in the danish league at the moment. FC Nordsjælland usually look god against FCK and won 2-0 in Parken last season, but this time they were simply run over by a well playing FCK team as the extended youtube highlights below also very much imply. FCN could easily have lost by 4-5 goals, if not for their well playing keeper Jesper Hansen and the fact that not all the FCK players are as sharp looking as a brilliant playing N'Doye. The FC København central defense does on the other hand not look all to solid at times and their new centre back Sölvi Ottesen has shown some weakness, which was probably also to be expected at this point, since he still need to adapt to a very different style of play, but due to an injury he was not used in this match. In any case, FCK are so strong looking in midfield and attack at the moment, that their wakness in defense has not really matter too much. I btw have to praise their new Brazilian midfielder Claudemir once again. He simply is a scoop... newly signed Martin Bergvold got to play the last 13 minutes for the home team, doing fairly well I think.

Last seasons Silvermedalists OB Odense have had a rather poor start to this season, but now finally seem back on track, beating SønderjyskE fairly easily 3-1 away. Odense usually have trouble breaking down SønderjyskE, but not in this match, mainly thanks to midfielder Hans Henrik Andreasen who is absolutely flying and is Superliga top scorer at the moment. Also last seasons Superliga top scorer Peter Utaka finally managed to score his first goal of this Superliga season, though he has looked very good in the Europa League qualifiers.

More surprisingly FC Midtjylland are the team chasing FC København at the very top of the league, surprising when you consider that they only finished 6th last season and have been very active on the transfer market this summer, selling most of their defense (Winston Reid, Leon Jessen and Kolja Afriyie), but they have done well replacing lost players in this transfer window, and have now also signed Danish international Jakob Poulsen from AGF, though he has just recieved surgery and is injured the next 2½ month. As for the match against AaB Aalborg then it was a real drama with two players being sent off and some controversial refereeing at the first FCM goal, when the ball perhaps was saved by AaB keeper Karim Zaza and didnt cross the goal line, not to forget a huge drop by the FCM keeper and an owngoal by Brian Priske right after Aalborg had just had their forward Patrick Kristensen sent off... as you can seen in the highlights right below.

As it also was the case in last weeks home match against FCN, newly promoted Lyngby were simply no match for FC København, though Lyngby also managed to produce a few big opportunities, but FCK hit the breaks and took it easy in the 2nd half, perhaps saving some energy for the CL play-off against Rosenborg. FCK coach Solbakken also gave Jesper Grønkjær a rest for the same reason, while William Kvist only got to play the first 45 minutes and also Claudemir was replaced with around 20 minutes to go... and the good news for FCK is, that César Sántin finally seem back on track and fit to play in the CL play-off.

It was a highly entertaining, high intensity and high paced match between last seasons Silver and Bronze medalists. Unfortunately the referee was very poor and more or less lost control of the match as it progressed. Odense seemed to have the upper hand, looking physically stronger and more sharp and on target, but they were robbed by the referee in the 27th minute, when a perfectly good goal by Peter Utaka was disallowed. Still, it was clear to see that it would only be a matter of time before Odense managed to score... and it happened only a few minutes later. An excellen free kick goal by OB midfielder and Superliga top scorer Hans Henrik Andreasen who I doubt has ever been better, because he simply is brilliant at the moment and cant seem to miss. Unfortunately his team-mates have shown a tendency to suddenly lose control and let in stupid goals at the end of a match, which also happened in this match. Perhaps they just get too confident and laid back, when they seem to be dominating and heading for a good result, since this is how it looked when Brøndby got a man sent off and Odense were two goals up with only 12 minutes left to play. It seemed like a sure win. But a questionable penalty gave Brøndby a life-line and suddenly it was a 10 men Brøndby team dominating and not surprisingly scoring the equalizer. You could also say, that OB are working hard for their results, but lack the last bit of luck at the moment, while this Brøndby team seem to be "walking on water", getting results no matter how bad it actually looks for them.

    0-1 Tim Janssen (7)

    Lineups and match stats

After a horrible start to this season and a rather cautious first 45 minutes of this match, trying to keep a quick 1-0 lead, Esbjerg finally seemed back on track and deserved the away win against a toothless looking AaB Aalborg team. As written, then Esbjerg too a cautious approach, but managed to take the lead by header by Dutch striker Tim Janssen after a corner kick. The Home team felt robbed by the referee only a few minutes later, when the young and otherwise highly rate Esbjerg keeper Lukas Hradecky made a huge personal mistake and a foul on Jeppe Curth in the penalty area, but otherwise the home team had trouble creating real opportunities and newly signed Fredrik Risp really made the Esbjerg defense look much more solid, so in the end it was a deserved win for the visitors.

Go go go, my favs in Denmark, Aalborg. Pick the pace up now! And hopefully the very competent Fredrik Risp can strenghten the defense.I know he is very competent normally and don´t understand really why he didn´t play more in Göteborg. He is etter than Hjalmar Jonsson in IFK and on par with IFK´s other c.defender Sigurdsson.

Thank you Ceres for you reports from a very interesting Sas-ligaen!:D

Despite Martin Albrechtsen serving a match ban and Kristian Bak Nielsen being injured, FC Midtjylland keep looking unstoppable at the moment, though it took some time for them to break down the FC Nordsjælland defense in this round. But especially Jonas Borring was leading the way for FCM in the 2nd half, scoring a goal and making an assist. FC Nordsjælland are on the the other hand getting closer to the relegation spots and Michael Parkhurst was taken to hospital, having suffered a dislocated shoulder, an injury that has troubled him in the past. FC Midtjylland have btw just signed a 3-year contract with the 20-yo now former Chelsea and AZ Alkmaar forward Morten Nielsen.

SønderjyskE keep being the big mystery in the Superlga, because if you ask the experts, they are alway among the absolute favorites to suffer relegation and if you look at their stadium and wage budget, it's a miracle that they are still in the Superliga. Thy can only afford to have 18-19 players in their squad at the moment, but their excellet teamwork, some solid defending and good set pieces always seem to be the key to their survival, no matter if they lose some of their better players to bigger clubs in the league. In this round SønderjyskE were up against newly promoted AC Horsens and it was the visitors dominating and pushing forward, while SønderjyskE as usual seemed happy defending, but Horsens misused their big opportunities and suddenly found themselves trailing a goal behind... and as the match progressed, with Horsens desperately pushing forward, it opened up for some quick counter attacking by SønderjyskE, which paid off in the end. So though they do not really impress in any way, SønderjyskE once again seem well on their way to be picking up the points they need to stay in the Superliga.... Brøndby were not the only team "stealing" 1 point in this round, despite playing 10 against 11. Silkeborg did the very same when they managed to hold Randers FC to a 1-1 draw by scoring a goal in injury time. Silkeborg were trying to push forward but didnt manage to create all too much, while the visitors were looking more sharp when they were counter attacking and the Randers goal came straight after a corner kick to Silkeborg, when Yura Movsisyan got hold on the ball and made an excellent assist, as you can see in the highlights below.

    Superliga 2010/11, round 7 (of 33) :

    AC Horsens v FC København, 1-2 (1-1)
    1-0 Niels Lodberg (15)
    1-1 Sölvi Ottesen (22)
    Nabil Aslam,ACH (45) [IMG]
Martin Vingaard, FCK miss penalty (45)
    1-2 Martin Vingaard (75)
    Attendance: 5,816

    Lineups and match events

As the result imply, then AC Horsens actually put up a good fight against FC København, despite playing 10 against 11 the last 45 minutes. Of course FCK were dominating and it also looked like power play at times in the second half, after Horsens had been reduced to 10 men, but Horsens still had their moments, producing some very big opportunities and their keeper made some excellent saves, while FCK did not look all too efficient considering how much they were dominating. Infact, Dame N'Doye has not quite looked his usual self the past several games now and also missed two sitters in this entertaining match.

But it was AC Horsens dominating from start in the first half, so it was quite deserved when they took the lead in the 15th minute, though it was also poor defending by FCKs Icelandic centre back Sölvi Ottesen, who later made up for his mistake by heading home a corner kick. Ther is not much to say about the red card, since it was a last-man foul by Nabil Aslam on N'Doye, but it was quite clearly done outside the penalty area, so FCK should not have been awarded a penalty. Still, Horsens keeper Søren Jochumsen made an excellent save, so Horsens could keep a deserved 1-1 result at half-time. Of course it looked like a mission impossible for Horsens, playing 10 against 11 FCK players for 45 minutes, but as written, then they put up a good fight and Horsens quick Brazilian striker Gilberto Macena came very close to securing a surprise result for for the home team, though the 2-1 win to FCK no doubt was a fair result.

    1-0 Emil Larsen (18)
    2-0 Patrick Mortensen (20)
2-1 Remco van der Schaaf (50)
2-2 Remco van der Schaaf (71)
    3-2 Ayoub Sørensen (73)
3-3 Remco van der Schaaf (90+2)
    Attendance: 5,192

    Lineups and match events

Brøndby were in surprisingly great trouble away against newly promoted Lyngby. It was the home team dominating the first 25 minutes or so, with especially Lasse Rise and the only 19-yo Emil Larsen looking good for Lyngby. So it took 36 minutes before we saw the first real Brøndby attempt on target. At that point in time, Daniel Wass had just been replaced by Dutch Remco van der Schaaf, which later showed to be an excellent move by the Brøndby coach, since the Dutchman scored a hat-trick in the second half, with the last of his goals being in two minutes injury-time. Lyngby got very close to securing the win, so they can not really be happy about this result, while I think Brøndby once again showed why they did not make it to the Europa League group stage. They simply lack the needed consistency.

When a defender starts pulling outside the box, but continues to do so all the way to the box (even if they are barely touching the line), a penalty should be awarded according to dbu's regulations. This means you should judge based on when the defender STOPPED pulling, and it is anything but clear if he did so before the forward reached the box. I believe the call was right morally, as the forward was robbed of a clear scoring opportunity (which is also why the defender was sent off - him being the last man is irrelevant). The call was 50-50, so it was reasonable to choose to give back the chance the forward was robbed off as both options could be right. I'm glad, however, that the penalty was saved, as it is always nice to have a clear winner that did not rely on a penalty to get the 3 points. So far this season, I think FCK has neither benefitted nor lost from difficult calls all in all, SønderjyskE took the lead against them due to a very dubious penalty, and AaB got a point after FCK was clearly robbed of a 1-1 with the keeper at the very end of the game, but it seems like FCK gets a lot of minor calls to go their way in most games. The only team I've noticed has clearly benefitted from dubious calls is Brøndby, but then again I only follow OB, BIF, FCK and FCM closely, so maybe I've missed some other referee favorites (AaB?).

I know that rule perfectly well, but it was quite clear that N'Doye was on the way down before he entered the penalty area and if you look at the slowmotion, then Nabil Aslam had clearly stopped pushing and pulling the shirt, which should have been easy to see for the referee since Aslams hands was in clear sight, if you were watching the incident from behind... so the foul was clearly made outside the box.
