I don’t know what the big deal is and as a tv viewer I’m not a fan. For a minute or two I’m just looking at what appears to be a lo-res hazy screen. It doesn’t come across as exciting start to the match. Quite the opposite. I have the same reaction to the lights going off after a goal. Only time I liked that was in the playoffs against Houston years ago. But that’s just me - others mileage may vary.
Does anyone else think that he roman candles firing out of the goal stanchions after goals, look a bit silly?
"Fan Appreciation Day" As far as I can remember the @LAGalaxy players would go around the stadium & sign & take pictures with the fans on fan appreciation game day. WTF they didn’t do it today. No fucking balls to face the fans after all our support especially these last two years. So damn disappointed— Galaxians (@Galaxians) October 28, 2018 .@LAGalaxy went from 'it's fan appreciation night! stick around for post game autographs and awards' to 'alright guys we need everyone to clear the bowl' 10 mins after the final whistle AND locking us out of the tailgate area where we usually kick it after games.— a.m (@acosta19LA) October 29, 2018 THE ONLY GALAXY PLAYER THAT ACTUALLY WENT UP TO FANS WAS ROMAIN AND ASH ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WHERE YALL AT? WE SUPPORTED YOU THRU 90 MIN AND YOU JUST CLAP AND DONT SIGN OR ANYTHING. DISAPPOINTED.— Matt — Windy City G (@bashgordon9) October 29, 2018 Two players came over to LARS post game.Ashley Cole the POTYand AJ DeLaGarza the player fucked over by the President and General manager. Chris Klein quote post game "Our fans are a fundamental part of the LA Galaxy"— The Squadcast (@Squadcast96) October 29, 2018 Yesterday was Fan Appreciation day. After the loss, players went straight to the locker room. A few of us stayed behind to ask why they felt we weren't worth their time . . . https://t.co/cgoUkg3tpm— LA Riot Squad (@LARiotSquad) October 29, 2018 I'm putting this here because it was marketed as Fan Appreciation Day but, this mess goes to the top. #KleinOut
Yet people still tell me that he's doing a good job with his off-field work. This thread is a testament to an organization that arrogantly coasts on past glories. The Galaxy have literally lost fans to the JCLs in Expo Park and you have to think that this kind of thing will see others follow suit.
Yet another failure by the FO. You know, sometimes you swing and miss on a player, it happens. But there is no excuse for tossing aside your hardcore fans like that....
Yep. Overheard a guy on the way to the parking lot say "I'm probably switching to LAFC. They seem to be better." He was a lot bigger than me, so I didn't say sh--"
Not an identical situation, but remember the 2009 final? Beckham made every single player stay out and watch RSL get their medals and celebrate winning MLS Cup. I want players like that back on the team.
I suppose my ability to get angry about this is somewhat undercut by my own walking out at the 80 minute mark.
So you missed Lletget misfiring on two wide open headers? ... at least I think it was Lletget - it was hard to see - as we were walking out and stopped in the aisle to watch.
I was unable to leave. I'd been struck catatonic by the realisation that this is what it must be like to support the 'Quakes.
Sigh.... No, no he didn't. @LAGalaxy pic.twitter.com/k5cmS0cZIa— LA Riot Squad (@LARiotSquad) October 30, 2018
I got up and went to the NW corner to watch the end. As soon as that last offside wiped that goal away at about 95', I bounced. If I didn't have more important things to do, I would've looked like Zlatan post-match in my seat until I got kicked out... which would've been pretty fast from several accounts.
It's not even funny anymore. Shows the culture and mentality of this club. We just assume we're going to succeed by default. Reports of how PV conducted himself as GM also illustrated this.
I think they posted it and then realized their error because it is now fixed. But not before screengrans got made.....
They are the ideal platonic expression of Hanlon’s Razor. When Klein is sacked if his replacement is a more appropriately experienced sports-business executive I’m mostly going to enjoy having the football side of things run in a competent manner, but I’m also going to enjoy the inevitable fallout in the marketing/pr departments a little.
No. Never. If you were a quakes supporter you would have to be associating with other quakes supporters.
