I think Chivas USA started it.

 

I don’t know what the big deal is and as a tv viewer I’m not a fan. For a minute or two I’m just looking at what appears to be a lo-res hazy screen. It doesn’t come across as exciting start to the match. Quite the opposite.
I have the same reaction to the lights going off after a goal. Only time I liked that was in the playoffs against Houston years ago.
But that’s just me - others mileage may vary.

 

Rumor is they lost their entire Video team from the last few years....

As far as I can remember the @LAGalaxy players would go around the stadium & sign & take pictures with the fans on fan appreciation game day. WTF they didn’t do it today. No fucking balls to face the fans after all our support especially these last two years. So damn disappointed

Not an identical situation, but remember the 2009 final? Beckham made every single player stay out and watch RSL get their medals and celebrate winning MLS Cup. I want players like that back on the team.

I suppose my ability to get angry about this is somewhat undercut by my own walking out at the 80 minute mark.

So you missed Lletget misfiring on two wide open headers? ... at least I think it was Lletget - it was hard to see - as we were walking out and stopped in the aisle to watch.

 

I also couldn't leave. I was in shock, and still dumb enough to hope.

 

I got up and went to the NW corner to watch the end. As soon as that last offside wiped that goal away at about 95', I bounced.

If I didn't have more important things to do, I would've looked like Zlatan post-match in my seat until I got kicked out... which would've been pretty fast from several accounts.

When Klein is sacked if his replacement is a more appropriately experienced sports-business executive I’m mostly going to enjoy having the football side of things run in a competent manner, but I’m also going to enjoy the inevitable fallout in the marketing/pr departments a little.
