Our social media team is the worst. That they are in love with themselves just makes me hate them more.
It's a good point, the cocky tone works well when you have a coach like Arena, 3 cups in 8 years and big names on your roster. It got a little stale last season, but has the capacity to be downright embarrassing this season. You can see how bereft of ideas they are when they recycled 'first to five' for most of the 2015 season and rebooted it as 'the race to seis' last year (didn't someone on BS actually come up with that BTW?). On the plus side, without the cover provided by a hugely successful team, manager and big names their shortcomings are going to become readily apparent as already evidenced by the low turnout for Saturday's home opener. Signing Hernandez will likely save their blushes this season, but not for long if the product on the field doesn't work.

OK, here's my contribution to the gripe session that is this thread. Who came up with the away uniform graphics in the LA Galaxy game preview? They aren't really even close to accurate, either LA or Portland. And should we expect that the referees will be wearing blue for sure? Does it even matter?
Is that seriously how Portland spells "forest"? Or is it from Forrest Gump? Or Forrest City, Arkansas?
Yesterday's reported attendance was a generous 20,982. Maybe 17,000 in the stadium and the overall atmosphere was pretty bland. Second match of the season without any competing local sporting events. It will be interesting to see our attendance for the 7pm (Saturday night) on April 1. On our current path it is going to be hard to get the casual fan out to watch this train wreck.
Believe we are away to Vancouver that night. Next home match is a Friday night. Then we have a Sunday midday. Then, finally, our first Saturday night match at the end of April.
Right you are. I hadn't looked except everyone in my section was saying "see you on the 1st". Maybe just playing an April Fool's joke on me....
Sorry if we offended anyone with the #LAGalaxy meme. Congrats to @TimbersFC on the three points. We'll still try to keep #soccer #fun— brendan hannan (@brendanhannan) March 13, 2017
At least this is only on lagalaxy.com right? http://www.lagalaxy.com/post/2017/0...&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=lagalaxy Scroll down to the schedule section and we get this: Saturday, March 18____10 a.m.______2017 MLS Regular Season: ____________________________LA Galaxy vs. Real Salt Lake ____________________________StubHub Center
Yeah seriously. Also there is a comment about that very mistake that is about 20 hours old and they haven't bothered to fix it. That tells me that they seriously don't care.
FANTASTIC. Kinda disappointed they apologized actually. Apologize for "Lettuce". The guy's name is RO-MAHN.
I liked the little floating Chara. Well deserved and Portland social media team seemed to have a thin skin about there performance on the field. Awesome. Making a lame joke based on you not knowing how to pronounce your new DPs name. Less clever.
OK, I took it that they simply thought 69% were good odds and people were upset that the club was being lax in its standards. I take it from your post that you see this is more of a Bill and Ted "69!!!!" type joke?
Garber came from the No Fun League, after all. Also, per Reddit user /u/-notthesun-: "LA, we need to address... how that video was dank af. Well meme'd lads."
