I guess its technically not a marketing issue but... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ an email I just received: " We are aware of ticket forwarding issues related to Yahoo domains and do not currently have a timetable for resolving this technical issue. Below are the current solutions we have should you need tickets sent via email for a game: Use a different email address for your LA Galaxy account. Go to My Account or contact your LA Galaxy Service Executive to change this. When forwarding tickets via My Account, forward them to a non-Yahoo email address. Contact your service executive to send you a PDF of the tickets which you can then print or forward along. We thank you for your patience and apologize for this inconvenience."
Yeah, there was an issue early on with a long delay between sending and receiving tickets. It seemed to have been sorted out fairly quickly into the season though. Not sure how it happened again...
I still don't have my hoodies and was told today there is no timeline for when I'll get it. Maybe they're fixing the zippers?
No idea on execution, maybe it’s buggy too, but while LA fans with a Yahoo email are SOL, Orlando City gets a mobile app that allows them to buy tickets and use them as e-tickets http://appleinsider.com/articles/17...r-teams-new-ios-app-cuts-out-ticket-middlemen
FC Dallas has used flash seats for the past few years, that acts as a digital ticket (through the phone, or can be tied to a credit card or team issued card). You can also buy/sell tickets through the app as well.
Damn, that's harsh. That being said i was able to actually offload my 4th of July tickets for double the face value last year as I was out of town.
That team should be getting much more publicity and support than it is. Their on-field product and youth development is fantastic by MLS standards, yet casual observers would apparently rather watch Steven Gerrard do f-all for 90 minutes and a packed CenturyLink serenading 22 men trying to control a ball on a 100-yard concrete-filled Sleep Number Bed.
I was critical that LAFC was on Good Day L.A. Wednesday morning even though they don't start play until next year. But, we managed to get the talking heads on KTLA to wear some LAG scarves and give away free tickets this morning. So, I can't complain anymore, I suppose. Go Galaxy!
Nate Silver's 538 site put LA as the 5th most likely team to make the playoffs at 69%. The Galaxy social media team circled the number 69 with the caption "nice" Maybe I'm reading too much in to it, but I gather by their responses I wasn't the only one. Sixty-nine percent chance doesn't exactly warrant a "nice" in and of itself IMO.
