Clark is an above average shot stopper. But the other parts of his game are poor. He's twitchy and nervous all the time. He becomes more of a liability when he has time to think. Like deciding when to come out of the box or how to distribute with his feet.

Count this as one time Benny's emphasis on "grit" paid off. But, even when we were 11 v. 11, Columbus looked to be the better team except for those first few minutes of the Segura goal and the Brillant header.
Bunkered from the 2nd minute. That was some terrible soccer. After the (ridiculous) red, DC didn't even bother playing to midfield or forward, they just iced the puck and caught a breath. I can't imagine why Mattocks didn't get time, that's the kind of game he could make a difference.
Mattocks was injured in training and didn't dress. Was the red ridiculous because the challenge was ridiculous and deserved red, or because you think it shouldn't have been a red? Because it was most definitely deserving of a red card.
- first off I have not seen a good replay but the one I did see did not support the red card. My replay was from a wide angle so I do not put a lot of stock in it. - second off don't think for a minute that one goal changes Segura from being a deck chair along with Moreno
A) Arriola got the studs of his left boot up late and into the calf of the Columbus player. Definite red. B) Segura was the best United field player yesterday and Moreno kept Higuain in check the first half. Definitely their best games in United uniforms.
When you see Arriola's foul from several different angles, it's a red. The left leg swipe makes what came before irrelevant. Segura was good last night. Moreno was fine as well, but I like Durkin better. Where does Canouse fit into this when he's ready?
FWIW, McTavish credited Mullins with making the goal happen. Watch the replay and you'll see why. As for me, I thought he played smart (as always) and well.
Thanks. I've got my own somewhere in the attic That was an interesting game and crowd. Barra had a nice tailgate. Never made it over to the SE side of the parking lot - those parking people were a bit excited. I left a space for friends and you'd have thought I was trying to rob a bank or set-up an ISIL training facility for as much grief as I had to give them to let me save the space - but then they wouldn't let my friend actually break out of line to use it when they finally arrived So, the empty space was nice anyway I'm not sure how many people they thought were gonna show up to that game. They did have Heineken, didn't see any other beers and they got warmer as the night went on. The security/usher folks weren't really sure where the smoking area was, but it wasn't wherever you were standing Finally some nice ladies came over and got us out of the way where everyone was fine with us being
I saw Heineken, Heineken Light, Stella (I think?), and Goose Island IPA at the stand where I bought beer.
On a different note, I think Joseph Mora should give slide tackling lessons to the rest of the team. He made a gorgeous, crunching tackle on Santos right in front of me on Saturday that was a thing to behold (and hear).
He did exactly the same thing in his inaugural match with us, announcing his arrival in spectacular fashion.
