Nice one Buzz, here's wishing all you guys well for the upcoming season - it looks like CP Baltimore has got a good squad together and I hope the move to UMBC pulls in a few more fans to back the team.

How did the team get on against U of Maryland?

Things against Maryland went reasonably well, ending in a 1-1 draw. We had several players injured going into the game, in various degrees of seriousness. As a result some of our cohesion was less than usual. Once we get everyone on the same page, and field, I think we have the makings of another fine team. We should have some of those injured players back for the game this coming weekend against George Mason University and hopefully all back by the season opener with Pittsburgh. Palace hosted a "Meet the Team" event at Slainte, the team pub, and it was a nice way to get to know some of the new players. Aside from being a solid group of athletes they are also just a bunch of great guys. In the event they hit any rough patches during the season that camaraderie will really come in handy.

Best of luck to our UK lads as they head into the final matches of the season. It would be amazing to see a playoff run ending in promotion to the Premier League. If we could bring home a title as well it would be a great year on both sides of the Atlantic!

Last preseason game against George Mason went well. It was a long walk down to the field with kids in tow though, whew. 4-0 final result. Things were a little dicey for the first twenty minutes, while still experimenting with combinations. Andrew Marshall (flu) and Val (not present) were out, with Paul Robson, David Feazell, and just returned from MISL Ibrahim Kante filling out the defense. We're still playing a little more long ball than I'd like, especially because we have the players to do more of a short passing game. Time to suit up for the real deal next Saturday against the revived Riverhounds!

For those interested in joining, creating, or already have a supporter's club in the works for Crystal Palace USA we are going to get together Thursday evening April 24th at Slainte in Fells Point. We will meet on the second floor so we can have a little more control over what's on the tv! There is a replay of the Champion's League games from earlier in the week and also an MLS game scheduled to be televised that evening. Bring along your goals, aspirations and dreams of what form you would like our supporter's club(s) to take and how we can all be involved. We will also be attempting to determine what assets and abilities, tangible or otherwise, we can all bring to the group. Please list on this thread if you are interested and can make it or even if you are interested and can't make it out this time so we have an idea on numbers. Hope to hear from lots of people!

I'm all giddy. CPUSA open tomorrow and the lads in UK have 2 matches to finish to make the playoffs for promotion to Premiership. C'mon boys. :D

Everyone should be available tomorrow against Pittsburgh except Mike Lookingland playing with the Balt Blast in the indoor championship this weekend, and possibly Haroldinho! Anyone know how Harold's knee is healing?

Weather's great today - let's have some tomorrow as well. Maybe a good crowd too. Be there.

Been a long drive back from Richmond.I'm going to have to pass on tonights supporters meeting. Need some rest and recovery from a long week. But please post any ideas and notes from the meeting so we can rally around. It's been a long off-season and a very long pre-season but Friday is almost here. And the Charm City Army can't wait to cheer the boys on to victory. My prediction for Fridays game beautiful weather,a bunch of Clipper City Ales, alot of singing and chanting, and Palce 2-nil against Pitts. Come on you Palace!!

A 3 -0 win and an announced attendance of 3100. Sounds like a good night for the home team at UMBC.

    Dude, what's with the threats?

First, I don't recall Alex getting a red or even more than a couple of yellow cards all last year. He's a clean, fast and aggressive but not reckless player.

Unquestionably, it was a hard tackle right in front of the ref and he (who had been throwing yellow cards all night rather than controlling the match) correctly called the foul, but kept his card in his pocket. It wasn't until Alex stood up and Kutney kicked him in retaliation that things broke loose and the ref threw both players out (a hard red for Kutney). It was unfortunate that Kutney was hurt, hopefully not badly, but I blame the ref for letting the match get away from him (with no help from the A/Rs).

If he was a clean player he wouldn't have purposely kneeled on Kutney's injured leg to get up...we'll see how much of a tough guy he is when they come into the valley.

The question has got to be.By the Time the mighty palace make it to Pitts on a Sunday night in the middle of Summer will the Hounds have WON a game by then? Or for that matter tied/Picked up any points. You've picked up zero points in three games.Way to go Pittsburgh theres always next year for you. I wonder if its to late for the Steel Army to get a refund for the season tickets, lol lol.:D:D
Todays DC United game was cancelled. We got there early to get some tailgating in and found out it was called off.To bad it would of been nice to see Palace take on DC United.
Looking for another big win this sunday against Richmond.

Krusty, we stand behind our Hounds no matter how many times they get screwed by the refs or miss out on results because of bad luck! We're a real supporters club...not a fan club, booster club or collection of bangwagon fans.

    UP THE HOUNDS!!!

    (even if we go 0-20)
