Kovacic started 3 of Real Madrid's last 4 clásicos. Last time he didn't start was the 2-3 defeat at home & the last time Messi shined. [as]

Nah. Ceballos is the guy to replace Modrić, while Kova is different type of player perfectly suited for b2b.

Mateo did not complete today's training session and is questionable for Sunday's match

I just saw in Bein sport that Juventus will bid 75 million euros for Kovacic.

Tancredi Palmeri is the one who said this.

I don't think they have that kind of money, and either way, it'll get rejected.

I don't know if it's true, but we're in a pretty nice place if people value our subs at 75 million.

Yes he did say he believes the bid will be rejected. I have no clue if this guy is making this rumor up but he did announce it live on bein sport which is odd.

If we can't spend significantly every summer there is no way juventus can.

    AS also reporting it.

    Which means it's 1000% false.

If we consider Marca is joke, what does that make AS?

Why would they bid that much when his buyout clause is 50M?

Because you can't pay a buyout clause in multiple small payments over 4 to 5 years, it needs to be paid in full, and with taxes, that's about the amount the buyout clause would work out to.

Makes sense for the buyer, but lately these small payments for x years make 0 sense for the selling clubs. The way the market is getting inflated, in 4-5 years 75M will get you a Paulinho type of midfielder while Kova would probably cost closer to 100M.

Kova has had a tough go with injuries. Hopefully he doesn't miss much time.

Sucks, but if anyone's got the midfield to cope with it, it's us. Llorente and Ceballos will step up.

Not really, expected the many injuries and suspensions so a good thing we didnt loan out Ceballos who imo is capable of playing against 80% of our opponents. Zizou should trust him more and give him the minutes against the likes of Levante, Apoel etc.

Kova is a big miss but midfielders we have (maybe not at the quality or style preferred, but they are there). Forwards however......

    God damn.

We have the midfield depth, but feel horrible for him. Every time he looks ready to break out.
