Because the club is obligated to provide a safe working environment. It's part of the contract. The players feel that the club acted in malice. It's up to the court to decide if that is the case. This isn't because of words. You're being intentionally obtuse.
Dost had visible injuries but more players were attacked. According to the player accounts there were 4 or 5 hooligans to each player. Multiple players were punched, thrown to the ground, Battaglia got a water tank thrown at his back. And the president instigated this atmosphere by publically attacking the players repeatedly on public forums - if us fans already cringe at this, what do you think crazy ultras will think or do when they see their president insulting the players? Also its well known the claques have a close relationship to the board. I don't know if Leao or Podence have enough reason as I don't think they were there, but others do. Anyways, I haven't been around much to follow every little thing that's been said but I'm sure we will know better what will happen after this Saturday's vote to remove the board from power. As you said previously, some players may very well come back.
As others gave said, just because Dost is the only one with images of blood on bis head that clearly doesnt mean he was the only one physically abused. You dont have to have physical scars to be physically abused.
Nothing changed in terms of security correct? Or did I miss something? If nothing changed, Safe work environment was always always in place. Players "feel" is irrelevant.
So what's with the reports coming from Portugal that the 3 people being linked to the attacks are Paulo Pereira Cristovo, Alvaro Sobrinho, and Nuno Torres (the dude with the blue BMW) ????
Until this mess works its way through the courts I have no clue how this will all turn out..... It could be anything from a house cleaning with a bunch of money coming in, to coming close to bankrupting the team..... Only time will tell
Big day today - General Assembly taking place right now to vote on whether to keep BdC and the board or force them out and call for an election. The 3 options are : - Yes (vote to remove the board) - No (vote to keep the board) - Abstain
Early projections by the media says that its currently 63 % in favour of destitution, 35% against it. BdC showed up late to vote after promising he wouldnt show up. However he cannot vote as its a conflict of interest (since he is the one being voted in or out).
Wow surprised BDC got shown the door TBH... Can't say it is not the right move after all that has happened the last few months under his watch
Official The supporters have voted 71% in favour to remove Bruno de Carvalho as president. Resultados finais e oficiais: Sim - 72,36 Não - 28,64 Abstenção - 0,53 14,375 socios voted
Brunettes at forumscp going crazy. Many saying they ain't coming back. People need to chill. There will be candidates, people just need to wait
So whats the aftermath of all this? Whos the interim president? When are elections? And any players coming back?
He has been ousted as president legitimately by the socios. Elections will be September 8th. In the interim, there has already been a stand-in board nominated by the legitimate president of the MAG (Jaime Marta Soares) a few days ago which will run the club until election time. They attempted to actually go to the club's installations but were barred from entering. BdC has since said although the whole process was unjust/unfair (he posted 24 times yesterday and then ended up appearing at the assembly after spending a week saying he wouldnt go) he won't go against the results and went further in saying that on Monday he will hand in his socio card, saying he is no longer a supporter of this club because of the elite influences that reside in it. Unbelievable is all I can say. You lose a legitimate vote after ruining all the good work you did and now your no longer a club supporter??? What a child. I hope he takes his followers and starts a new club, call it Democratic Peoples Republic of BDC or something
Hallelujah. The nightmare of the last few months is finally over. It's going to be hard for the club to recover from this but at least there's a glimmer of hope now. Let's hope that BdC stays true to his word and stops interfering. I doubt it but there's always hope. The other thing is - let's see if the players come back to the club. If they don't, it's going to be bad for many reasons...
Didnt even last a day. After ex-president Sousa Cintra was nominated as interim president until the elections, BdC posted on facebook that he changed his mind, intends to try and impugnate the vote and will run for elections again. Unbelievable how this man goes back on his word so much. In a few years if you look up the word bipolar his picture will be there.
