This sums up the 2018 season better than I could, by far. In the name of Lamar, McBride, and the Holy Guillermo . . . Amen.
He didn't have a particularly good game. I'm not sure he'll have the legs all season to be the up and back then up again for 90 mins guy we'd like him to be. But, as he rounds in to fitness I want to believe we'll see some better performances. We were very left side dominant. Part of that was due to Afful not being at his best. I thought Martinez and Afful got in each other's way a bit. Some kinks to work out there is Martinez is the long term starter. Martinez's best moment came on that early shot that grazed the post when he was on the left side. So, yes, a bit concerned that Afful's best days may be behind him, but slightly hopeful that with some time to round into form we'll see more of the good than the bad (and that through ball to Altidore was BAD).
