Match day! 70 degress for a home game in March. I feel somewhat rudderless without the weather to complain about.

 

Don't worry, you can just complain about how crappy the team is or how Higuain should have been traded instead of Kei. We find plenty of stuff to complain about around here.

This is one of those random games we win.

Portland is coming in full of confidence and won't play a typical road game and bunker. They will be very attacking leaving spaces for us to exploit (if Pipa and others are quick enough to do so).

We aren't nearly as good as Portland right now. But, we weren't nearly as good as NYCFC last year and we beat them twice. This is one of those games when the expected goals come to fruition.

Hoping MLS team of the week player Alex Crognale gets a second start. I suppose I'd drop Williams for Mensah, but not thrilled about it. Finlay for Raitala? Not sure about that one. Or we revert to the 4-2-3-1. Having Finlay on the bench meant we had a player there that can change a game.

 

I think we'll play who you just suggested in a 3-4-2-1 again. Without Francis, Finlay seems like the only person that would make sense on the wing. Have we used him on the left before?

 

Figure he swaps with Meram and plays further up maybe?

 

I hope not Meram is better and usually pinched in doesnt like to stay wide. Ethan has less ball skills and more speed ,is better suited to play on left wing .It will be really interesting to see what line up we go with.
