Don't be silly, dude has played what, two or three games? He's had good and bad moments. Give him a little time.
Yes, traffic can get a few cars deep on Atwood fairly quickly, and yes all of these turns are stop-sign lefts, but I'm East side stands, and unless I'm staying to tailgate, I go straight to my car. Looking more closely at the map while not at work, I do actually more often than not take Maynard (what I called the alley previously) to Howey. There's the normal amount of Hudson traffic, from Atwood/Howey West until about Pontiac or the Marathon station when things back up. Mind you this is ~5 min from the final whistle, YMWV from where you egress and the time to leave as compared to my journey. If I see red taillights deep on Hudson, then I chose to take Hiawatha from Hudson to Weber. Weber has never had traffic. I've even considered going that far during "normal" traffic just because I'm impatient sitting still in my car. I'd rather add 5 min to my driving time than sit in traffic...as long as I'm moving. I have on occasion chosen to go further when I see Atwood at 3 deep to turn onto Hudson, I think once there was 1 car in front of me on Grasmere. My advice is to experiment, keep heading East until you can consistently get to a street where you are no more than 2nd or 3rd car. Though the closer I got to Cleveland, the more likely I'd then just skip Hudson and go to Weber to get out. * I also go up to the Mezz from my seats-- even though they are closer to ground floor, --and then hit the outside stairs down to the grass and out a side gate avoiding bathroom, merch, lost and lasseiz-faire groups, etc bottle-necking under the stands and around the concourse. Getting out of the stadium fast (or early) is the only key to avoiding the madness. I am also a fast walker, and if I have my daughter she is still small enough I can put her on my shoulders to help me navigate through the crowd and out to open space. Get in front of the herd!
Having a pregame thread talking about the problems coming to and leaving the stadium says a lot about what's wrong with attendance.
We beat Orlando at home, Orlando beat NYC, and NYC sucks. So by the transitive property, we're gonna die
#NYCFC has arrived to @MAPFREStadium and David Villa is not here. Hearing he's sick and will not play against #CrewSC.— Patrick Murphy (@_Pat_Murphy) April 29, 2017
