One question Ive got is whats going on with our guys slipping so much.
Viera was the only NYC person I saw slip yesterday, meanwhile we are playing like we are on a slip and slide. Put on some spikes boys!

You can't be serious about Pirlo this season. He was fine last year, but Vieira was justified in benching him in 2017. NY's ppg are significantly lower when Pirlo starts (1.07 vs 2.10). He's a complete defensive liability and barely moves. His feet are still magic, but only if he is given 20 yards of space and can move at a leisurely pace around the field.

I think you misunderstand. I expected that, when he came in (after weeks off), the intent would be to get him one last PK goal, "One for the ages", he scores the winner, NYCFU gets a huge emotional boost, and onward into the East Final. Didn't happen, and he looked heavy and tired on the field. Last year, they' couldn't figure out where and how to use him, this year he's done. Other teams (those not in NY and LA) could likely have used him much more effectively, but the rush to keep superstars in the megalopolises meant he never could do much.

Pirlo, amazing player, one of the best.

But Pirlo in MLS, this is what I'll remember of his time:

Survived and advanced! Well done. Now add more misery to Bradley's and Jozy's lives.

My mistake on the PK bit.

LA couldn't make Jermaine Jones work, and he at least runs (you just never know where to).

Pirlo was good last year. A defensive liability still, but he was usable. His ability has dropped off considerably this year to the point that he would be picked on repeatedly by opposing midfielders when he was on the field. Given what NYC has gotten out of Ring, Moralez, and Herrera, it's no wonder they gave up on Pirlo.

I want the Crew to win the Cup so bad and refuse to let the owner touch it.

I would send many cases of beer to those responsible if that actually happened. :)

I would love it more if he tried to celebrate with it and the fans booed him

Most pulled muscles have their origins in worry of some sort.

This is true, but, like, can you do it STRICTLY from worrying?

Yes. Muscles for sure. Sometimes, I think I hurt internal organs too. The big ones....brain, heart, stomach.... Those don't seem to heal as well. But to see the boys home again, its worth every sacrifice I make. :)

I maintain that we do not have the system, nor the personnel to play bunker defense. That was close.

Fortunately, we will be aggressive in the next game, especially with Sebastian out. (I know Jozy is a threat. And I hate his free kicks. But his lethargy on the field often works to our advantage. I have mixed emotions about him being out.)

I like our chances when we play aggressively.

Get a ticket if you can. You won't want to miss being there.

Off topic of your muscle issue.

Timon, I just remembered how years ago we would participate in the Matchnight game chats.

Twellman. Everything he yapped on about was as if it was some unprecedented greatness or some terrible horrible pit of despair. There was no in between. It's insufferable once you realize it.

When he's not busy stomping on folks....

(I still have not forgiven him for what he did to Reus.)
