14W-11T-21L It was a bad hire to begin with and its too bad the person who thought it was a good hire isn't leaving too. Vaya con Dios OC
I'm gonna guess the metadata on that email press release shows that it was created sometime Sunday. A foreign retread hire that just didn't work. Problems deeper than Coyle but roster is woefully underperforming. I wonder which overpaid guys we signed this offseason at Coyles urging are we now stuck with. Like taking a loss on trading in cars every year but rolling it into the car loan and eventually you have to pay. Wasted 1.3 seasons
Keep Cabrera at RGV! Bring in Petke or Kreis or Ramos. Best of luck to Coyle. Seems like an honest bloke.
From March of this year: So far, 1 out of 3 predictions correct. My guess is the $300k Will Bruin and the $700k Giles Barnes (that's $1,000,000 right there ) were Coyle extensions. Coyle may eventually set us back more than 1.3 seasons.
Well, let's just be honest here. Coyle isn't the only issue. We have issues in the FO as well. I hate saying that but they're not giving me any reason not to.
If Jordan is gonna be here picking players, then he should pick the coach. Quarrel with some of his signings but if the TD isn't in charge, don't bother having one. This thing seemed dysfunctional deal the getgo although I do think a larger structure than just one man (Dom) doing everything makes sense
This was 5 days ago - how much shit are we just making up as it goes along? http://www.houstondynamo.com/post/2016/05/20/canettis-corner-no-excuses
Excited for the possibilities of a coach that will get the players to overachieve. Someone that understands we need players who have the technical ability to create their own chances. At the same time, I am terrified of the front office making another bad hire.
Corey reporting the Dynamo had no plans to remove Coyle and that he approached Canetti with a desire to leave the team this afternoon. Plausible as it is a bit odd that he coached last night and was relieved of his duties today.
So true. I don't think Wade is the answer. He was a conservative player that took few chances and I think will be a conservative coach. I'm thinking Matt Jordan will have a big say in the new hire. Look for someone young with a fresh view on the game. Again, I want Ramos, Kreis and Petke. We'll probably get a Spanish Third division coach who just missed out on getting promotion. * One more name... Cherundolo.
The man he works under is Jurgen... I'll give him a pass for poor U20 results on that alone. He probably never gets the call on players to bring in or the system.
If a new coach comes in and Bruin continues to get major minutes we'll know that Will has compromising photos of the entire professional coaching community!!
He was a bad hire - lots of recent failures, no recent successes. Just don't hire Steve McLaren as a replacement.
